    D&D 5E (2024) Wizard vs Sorcerer In-Depth Analysis (2024)

None of these. Cleric 3 with Socrerer 17 or Bard 3 with Wizard 17

D&D General Hasbro CEO Says AI Integration Has Been "A Clear Success"

I wish WOTC would be consistent, just two years ago they went with the "we are not going to allow any AI art ...." As a company their "moral compass" is all over the map.

D&D 5E (2024) Changes to the Command spell and its use at the table.

Well I disagree with the idea that control spells are ruining 5E, they are the best part of 5E IMO. That said the changes to Command are a mixed bag. It is more useful now and is extremely effective at all levels. You could argue that this is the only control spell you need given how well it...

    D&D 5E (2024) ENworld Warlock Builds.

It certainly is debatable. At our table we count it as you are casting the spell and doing damage with the casting.

    D&D 5E (2024) ENworld Warlock Builds.

Most of the Warlock builds I have done are dipped with a class that gets armor and weapon masteries (whether or not I use POB). I don't usually go for Thirsting Blade, I will take 5 levels in a martial (or 8 in EK) rather than take Thirsting Blade. Here are a few: Playing a Tiefling...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

It is tables as in multiple and like I said I've played 6 different 2024 Warlocks personally and all of them had Pact of the Chain at some point. You mean anyone except the person who posted right after you and the multiple people that posted on the POTC thread a little further down? Here is...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

No because the Imp is invisible pretty much all the time with a 60 foot fly speed, getting advantage on attacks and causing disadvantage on enemy attacks and has magic resistance, devil's sight and 120 foot darkvision. They are also resummoned with an action if they fall to zero hit points...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

In play a level 3 Imp is still a pretty good melee combatant because of invisibility and the fact they use their reaction to attack. So your invisible Imp attacks using a reaction then turns invisible again using its action. Being Invisible eliminates AOOs and makes it difficult to target and...

    D&D 5E (2024) The Problem with Treantmonk's Hunter's Mark

Fey Touched is one of the best feats for a Bladesinger so I don't get why it would not be worth it. TBH I don't think I have played a bladesinger that did not have this feat. Now I never got Hunter's Mark with it before, usually I got Hex, Command or Dissonant Whispers.

    D&D 5E (2024) The Problem with Treantmonk's Hunter's Mark

1d6 on all attacks is pretty huge. Consider a 15th level Barbarian does an extra 3 damage per attack while ragingin and that usually uses BPS which is not a very reliable damage type. This does more damage than that for an entire day with a 3rd level slot, without concentrating and with a more...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

At really low levels (1-2) a Chain Pact Warlock that sends their familiar forward is the best melee combatant in the game with way more hit points than 1st and 2ind level PCs and doing substantially more damage than 1st and 2nd level PCs. Well RAW it is not an attack. That is a huge nerf, and...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

When I reply to you I will, but what you quoted was not a reply to you (unless you are posting by two different names) As for what you said on this particular post: No it isn't. As a matter of fact if you are building a highly-optimsed high damage character I would say it is rare that it...

    D&D 5E (2024) The Problem with Treantmonk's Hunter's Mark

I don't particularly like Hunter's Mark, but I don't mind it as a spell. I am against making it a non-spell though. Ranger already has enough weapon damage boosts for my tastes when you consider the subclass boosts, weapon masteries and extra attack. If you want a bit more cast a spell...

    D&D 5E (2024) The Problem with Treantmonk's Hunter's Mark

Treantmonk's buffs do nothing for the Ranger identity IMO, even though that is what he was striving for. They do make Rangers more powerful and most of the Ranger-specifci spells could use a boost. The boost in power is not a lot on a single class Ranger, but it is going to be extremely...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

The multiclass, especially to Paladin, is optimal for just about any Warlock with Pact of the Blade and will be substantially better than the single class Pact of the Blade at almost every level. At most levels, this is going to typically be far better than using this for a Light weapon attack...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

What follow up attack? The only time you get a followup attack with nick is "when" you make the extra attack of the light weapon property. You only get this "extra attack" if you actually make the "extra attack". No "extra attack of the Light weapon property" made = no additional attack at...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

you can't "forgo" an attack you don't have the option to make in the first place. Nick is specific - in only applies when you make the extra attack of the light weapon property. The term "when" in the description of Nick is extremely significant in this discussion; you can't Nick at all if...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

This is not true, you have this completely backward. Acid, Alchemists fire, Net, and Oil all let you "replace" one of your attacks. From the PHB page 222-227: "you can replace one of your attacks with throwing a vial of Acid" "you can replace one of your attacks with throwing a flask of...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

Also this would make nick meaningless. If I can attack with a weapon with a nick property, but then I don't need to use that weapon to get that extra attack, then I would never need to use that weapon. So I could attack with a Shortsword and then attack with a different Short Sword as part of...
