D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

It allows you to make it "as part of the attack action", it does not turn it into an attack action. No. The word "any" is not used in the rules regarding the Chain pact familiar attack. Further the wording on the Light weapon property requires that the extra attack you make be made with a...

    D&D 5E (2024) Cleave+GWM Feat

Yes, you would get GWM in this case assuming Truestrike is a "Wizard spell" for you and you are using the attack action to cast it.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

No it doesn't. Nothing is "folded" RAW. That term is not used at all in the PHB with respect to attacks AFAIK.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

Nothing gets "folded" The Light Weapon property let's you get a bonus attack with a "different Light weapon" if a "different Light weapon" is not used for that attack, then you don't get it.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

It does not say that. It says you can "forgo one of your attacks", that has to be an attack you are eligible to make and you are not eligible to make a Light weapon attack unless you do it with a "different Light weapon" Only if the familiar attacks with a weapon which has the Light property.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

No nothing in the Warlock text specifically overides the light property. Further if we are to take this wording then I can throw a net or Alchemists fire or Acid or Holy Water etc. This does not seem to be a conflict to me, nothing in the Warlock text suggests it overides the Light weapon...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

I think this is against the rules. You can't forgoe your nick attack because you can not get nick without attacking with a light weapon. To start with Nick is somewhat ambiguous so it is on the property on the weapon used for the nick attack, not the light weapon used for the initial attack...

    D&D 5E (2024) Cleave+GWM Feat

I don't see how. If you used Truestrike or it is an AOO or you attack as a bonus action you would not get GWM even though you could use cleave.

D&D 5E (2024) Unconfirmed Dark Sun World Book

Like the Wizard of Oz munchkins in the photos above? Yeah I don't think that will work. Also where does it say Darksun Halflings have black hair and dark coppery skin? I don't remember that at all, although maybe that is in a book I don't have. I do remember that they are "quick", "paint...

    D&D 5E (2024) Cleave+GWM Feat

Like I said if you cleaved on an attack action it would apply RAW.

    D&D 5E (2024) Cleave+GWM Feat

I think it is pretty clear RAW: "If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but...

D&D 5E (2024) Asterion feats can be pretty strong

I don't find the HOF feats particularly OP, although I have not seen them all in play so maybe I am missing something. I think Street Justice, Zhentarim Tactics and Spellfire Adept can be very good on a specific type of build, but not generally great (in the case OF ZT because you need the...

D&D 5E (2024) Asterion feats can be pretty strong

Most of the Asterion don't seem very powerful at 1st glance but after seeing Putrify and Love Bites in play I realize that bypassing saves is a huge deal on enemies with legendary resistance, even if the effect is not awesome or persistent. We were fighting an Ancient Copper Dragon and the...

    D&D General Which Sci-Fi 5e Variant?

Galaxium on DrivethruRPG uses 5E 2024 rules. It was originally released as "Infinity" but ran into some licensing thing I think and had to be renamed. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/519613/galaxium I have not played it personally because sci-fi is not my thing, but friends of mine...

    D&D 5E (2024) Best 13 Wisdom Ranger subclass dip for a Bladesinger 1-20 campaign

Yeah and stuff happens at different levels, new rules on some mechanics like grappling, exhaustion, no old spell effects that have been fixed like summoning a bunch of Pixies that cast polymorph ....

    D&D 5E (2024) Best 13 Wisdom Ranger subclass dip for a Bladesinger 1-20 campaign

Yeah I see it the other way around. If we were playing a 20th level one-shot I would agree, but for me in a 1-20 campaign, having weapon masteries for 20 levels and blindsight for 13 levels on this type of character is better than having 9th level spells for 4 levels, especially when I will...

    D&D 5E (2024) Best 13 Wisdom Ranger subclass dip for a Bladesinger 1-20 campaign

Anything printed in 2024 uses 2024 rules. Anything not reprinted in 2024 but available in 2014 uses 2014 rules. Nothing from different settings (no Dragonlance, no Eberron, no Strixhaven etc), anything that is Faerun or setting agnostic can be used and the 2014 version is used if it was NOT...

    D&D 5E (2024) Best 13 Wisdom Ranger subclass dip for a Bladesinger 1-20 campaign

I am going to level 4 Ranger, not 5, I realize that may have been confusing in my original post. Ranger 4 gets me 10' Blindsight (Blind Fighting), subclass, a feat and 3 hit points. It costs me 2 caster levels and 3 spells in my book. Swarmkeeper sounds really good. With a 13 Wisdom I am not...

    D&D 5E (2024) Best 13 Wisdom Ranger subclass dip for a Bladesinger 1-20 campaign

I am designing a character for a point buy 1-20 campaign. The campaign will be in the Forgotten Realms (Chult) and be heavy in the exploration and combat pillars. I am planning to do an Orc Bladesinger gish build with a Ranger dip. Primarily melee-oriented with some control and some AOE...
