I'm big into accommodating players' race choices. You can play whatever race you want in my all Commoner class (based off of the 3E NPC class) campaign!

Well I think it's great when D&D doesn't give people the game that they want. They either prove their strength by adapting or get purged like the weaklings they are.

I thought people wanted level one/two characters to be regular people without the high fantasy powers taking an oath/representing a god/making a contract/etc. would give them???

I mean he could create supplemental products that make D&D more lower fantasy or whatever. Since so many proclaim D&D is a toolbox, then making some tools to change D&D into whatever style you desire should be doable; and even profitable.

Shouldn't Ammann treat this as a business opportunity? If 5e24 is becoming easier and higher fantasy, then he can more easily corner the market on harder and lower fantasy products?

Clearly the 5E team didn't send out enough surveys!

Isn't D&D varied enough to make both M and PG games? There's something for everyone!

To try to steer this topic back on topic, has anyone here played with a new DM recently?

We need to ask the important questions like... How many characters has he killed as a DM? How does he describe 50 HP in damage? How much Armored MMA has he participated in???

But if it was "Bard" we could bring back rhythm games! Or better yet, make a "Commoner" game! People can't relate to the super powered characters D&D produces these days. Let them be a regular person who gets caught up in adventure!
