    Works for me. The only "concern" is it does make True Strike better, and the bard has lower damaging cantrips all around. But we're talking about +1 damage over most simple weapons when you go up to a d8, and light crossbow is already a d8, so I'm not overly concerned.

    My 2014 PHB has simple shortbow and light crossbow with 80/320 ranges for each. Heavy Crossbow is 100/400 and longbow is 150/600, but in my 20 years of D&D I've only ever had 2 fights that started past 100 ft.
