I think this summarize perfectly what I enjoy about OSR. Its more player-driven, actual roleplaying instead of finding the right skill or rule. I also really enjoy the community and very diverse collection of adventures, rules, hacks etc.

I think its absurd to ask "why are you even GMing" if you have some aspects that feel like work or not enjoying that much. I yet have to encounter any hobby / freetime activity where I love every aspect. Its more rational to try and minimize the stuff you don't like and focus on what you enjoy...

Thats a bit extreme plus you make it sound as if TTRPG are less interactive than video games. TTRPG players want interaction and they want interaction as a party. Otherwise they would play solo games or watch a movie. Most players I know, myself included, don't want to watch a full infiltration...

Its insane how much better I feel since I strictly limit the addictive social media and my news consumption and other information flooders. Our brains are not made for this overwhelming amounts of incoming information. Australia did the right thing with banning social media for children.
