An Interview with Lawrence Whitaker of the Design Mechanism

Really? I might have to check for updates because my older revisions are really hard on the eyes as is the physical copy I own as well. Edit: went to Drivethrurpg and checked and there were two newer versions from Oct 2018, downloaded them and did a side by side with my two previous versions...

Chaosium Doing Rivers of London RPG

Looking forward to seeing how they implement this. I'm fond of the BRP system, though they need an editor to go through the system and clean it up and lay it out better.

Cubicle 7 No Longer Producing The One Ring and Adventures in Middle Earth

I saw the news yesterday morning on my Instagram feed due to following Cubicle Seven. I hadn't snagged the last three releases yet and since I'd been trying to support my FLGS I'd been buying the physical products from them and hadn't snagged the pdfs (which I like to also have). So in a panic I...

    TSR TSR's "Designeritus"

Yup, because of that double duty it's a mechanic I'm not fond of. I feel it's a bad design concept.

    TSR TSR's "Designeritus"

Upper management TSR was TSR's own worst enemy. :/

RPG Crowdfunding News – The Islands of Sina Una, Traveller, TORG Cyberpapacy, Mummy, and more

So basically you brought the troubles from real life to these forums. You are aware across the world any one moment there are terrible things happening to someone(s) that anyone of us could bring to these forums. So maybe you should consider not bringing real life to the forums if you can help...

Andy Peregrine Confirmed As Dune Line Manager

Hopefully one of the big changes will be better layout/format. While the 2d20 system intrigues and the books are beautiful the layout of mechanics leaves a lot to be desired. If I'm being blunt I'd rate it as terrible.

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron Is Here Today!

So, has anyone broken down the differences between the previous book/pdf and this new one? I noted that Wizards of the Coast already updated my Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, though I've not had a chance to go through it and try to figure out what's different about it and the previous version of...

Doh, sorry, multi tasking and "thought" about the name of the product but didn't actually type it I see. lol yep, talking about Curse Earth. I'm still on my first cup of morning coffee, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. ;)

D&D General From the Freelancing Frontline – From Hobby to Career

Good read. :) Love the insight into a creators journey into making this hobby a career. Also, very cool about Aaron Allston, I'm a fan, so kudos to Carl for getting you to go up wto Aaron and do a lunch. :)

Podcast #74: News Roundup: D&D, Critical Role, Eberron, Star Wars, and more!

Good podcast as usual Russ and Peter. :) Enjoy the skits, including the extra skit that you all have taken to doing. Russ you mentioned that the physical copies of the books are now in, wasn't expecting that so soon, thought they would come in after the new year. Awesome that they did, my...

    Design Masterclass: 7th Sea

Thanks for the clarification. The article info made it sound like that it basically makes for "min/maxing" style of mechanics. Basically if you want to play a diplomat, why would you play any other nationality than a Ussara? I'm never a fan where min/maxing mechanics are important or a focus...

Oh, a Kickstarter... (twitch) I'm always up for one or three of those. :) Plus the Fioracitta sound very intriguing.

    Design Masterclass: 7th Sea

Hmm, I'm not a fan of systems like that. Sounds too one dimensional honestly. You're limited to basing your profession (what you do) on your nationality? So I couldn't be a Vodacce duelist? Sounds artificially limiting. All those from Montaigne are witty and duelist? Just sounds immersion...

2000AD Available now -- Judge Dredd: The Cursed Earth & Cursed Earth Poster Map!

Russ and I had a similar conversation under the thread about the book itself. I focused on the center of the page and missed the soft tones color bar at the top of the web page mentioning the pdf coming with the book. lol. p.s: I'll order it next month to go with the book I ordered this month...
