D&D 5E (2014) Princes of the Apocalypse, the four prophets (Spoilers)

His claw looks ripped off a Apparatus of Kwalish, which makes sense since it can be used as a submarine. It definitely seems more interesting than Tyranny of Dragons.

[Updated] Chris Sims & Jennifer Clarke Wilkes Let Go From WotC

Googling a post here in 2009 it said he was let go then too.

[Updated] Chris Sims & Jennifer Clarke Wilkes Let Go From WotC

Could this be because they are making fewer in-house products? The core books are out and the fiscal year is over....

    D&D 5E (2014) Lost Mine - Wyvern Tor

Well I just went with the standard that a Tor is a rock formation on top of a small hill and looked up on the forgotten realms wiki the info on Wyvern Tor. Gave it a small cave and put a campfire outside. Two of the orcs were inside the cave (one being the named boss) that were resting. I...

    D&D 5E (2014) Lost Mine - Wyvern Tor

My group had the opposite happen. One of the party used his familiar to scout the area from the sky and then they climbed up on the rocks above the ogre and the orcs. After a volley of arrows the dwarf decided to do a jump attack off the low cliff wall onto the ogre, knocking him down and then...

D&D 5E (2014) Sell me on the World of Greyhawk please

Realms gets a lot more service because the setting is popular and has become popular since Greyhawk was the setting that was putting TSR in the hole before WoTC took over. I love the setting though since it is vague. I don't have to worry too much about someone pulling some obscure piece of...

Warforged, Kender, Multiverses, & Errata - An Eclectic News Summary!

If that is the case with dndclassics I do hope that they come out with some articles on their site to show folks that might not know older editions as well how to go about converting them for 5E. As far as it not being ToEE, I'm sure they will change things but the big draw of the whole module...

Warforged, Kender, Multiverses, & Errata - An Eclectic News Summary!

They are already redoing Elemental Evil and if this is like ToEE or Return to ToEE it will be the 3rd iteration of it... so what is the point in that? They could wrap spelljammer and sigil into a book that is just a big "sailing across the multiverse" book that covers not only the adventure but...

Warforged, Kender, Multiverses, & Errata - An Eclectic News Summary!

Yes but I mean modules specifically detailing it to a greater degree than what is presented in the DMG. They could make a "City of Doors: Sigil" book and it would mesh with every setting they can put in. They can even add in "You can use this book to connect to any world that is part of the...

Warforged, Kender, Multiverses, & Errata - An Eclectic News Summary!

If they have the multiverse it does mean that adding Spelljammer in as well as Sigil is easier. Alternate rules for planeswalkers and sailors that can be applied to every setting? Yes please.

Warforged, Kender, Multiverses, & Errata - An Eclectic News Summary!

It was a bit of a dodge, but it prevents a lot of bad blowback if they want to do a later Adventurer's League chain in Greyhawk, Dark Sun, etc. Nothing is preventing them from using other settings in the future of the League.

    D&D 5E (2014) Letting Char-Gen Influence Race Concept

Honestly if I was going to all out homebrew the racial abilities to make the field a bit more even and not ruin characters I would start by giving every race the same thing that humans currently get. Then I would take a look at some of the racial abilities and see if they could be turned into...

D&D 5E (2014) Light release schedule: More harm than good?

They will sustain with the items that don't cost them money. Mearls already said they are behind on putting the Warforged Rules out on the main site because of some Jury Duty in Seattle. They are trying to make D&D accessible and not look like it takes a library shelves worth of books to run...

    D&D 5E (2014) Best Virtual Table for 5E?

I like maptools because it is completely free and allows me to not worry about having the browser open if I don't want it. The only problems we have found with maptools is setting up port forwarding as a host. I now run it on one of my older boxes with Linux as a sort of 'permanent server'...

Is Chris Perkins Working On A New D&D Setting?

Glad my question got in there. I'm hoping it is Greyhawk since Perkins is a fan of that setting, but it does look like we most likely won't get anything but FR this year.

5E Rises But Still Trails Pathinder For Online Games

When 5E gets more content out I think we will see more play out of it. I've seen more odd sites and news articles talking about D&D than any other RPG in a long time.
