    OSR OSR News Roundup

Well, this is the last News Roundup in February, and ZineMonth is wrapping up, although there will be projects still running into March. I haven't really been covering specific projects (for one, there are really too many great sounding ones that would just overwhelm the Roundup), but have been...

    Kickstarter Firelance: an OSR PRG

I'm GMT-5, and have actually been conducting these interviews mostly around 9:30 in the am.

    Kickstarter Firelance: an OSR PRG

Looks cool. I'm conducting a series of interviews with participants in ZiMo. Would you be interested in answering some questions (either in print or recorded for a podcast)?

OSR [Kicking the Tires] Plotting an OSR Adventure Path

I think that totally makes sense; at this point I'm just doing book one as a test to see if there's any interest in the concept, and then if there is I'll work on everything as a whole piece.

OSR [Kicking the Tires] Plotting an OSR Adventure Path

I've created a rough outline for the campaign: 1. Book One. The Caverns of Anamosa. The party begins exploring a dungeon that was once the redoubt of a famous pair of adventurers, known for defeating a barbarian invasion decades past and retiring in seclusion. They have not been heard of in...

    OSR OSR News Roundup

Welcome to the third news Roundup for February. We're in the thick of ZineMonth, as I believe I've mentioned once or twice before? Anyway, I've been conducting and posting print interviews on the blog (you can search for them using the ZiMo26 tag) and audio interviews that you can find on the...

    OSR OSR News Roundup

Yeah, I did a doubletake with it as well, tbh.

OSR [Kicking the Tires] Plotting an OSR Adventure Path

My goal is to crowdfund the first book to see how it goes, and then provide a "subscription" option with a second crowdfunding for subsequent volumes. I'd like to see what sort of interest there is for the concept, first, before committing to doing a whole series.

    OSR OSR News Roundup

Welcome to the OSR News Roundup for February 9th, 2026. ZineMonth is in full swing, and I'll be releasing some print interviews over the month promoting various projects. I've also, because apparently I'm not busy enough, decided to start releasing a podcast. The goal is to release short, weekly...

OSR [Kicking the Tires] Plotting an OSR Adventure Path

Oh, yeah, I know there had been adventure path-style linked adventures in the past, but in my experience it is very much against the current OSR standard these days. Wrongly or rightly.

Dan does art for me every now and then; it's pretty great! I'm going to be promoting it more heavily when it launches as part of ZineMonth.

OSR [Kicking the Tires] Plotting an OSR Adventure Path

Perhaps against my better judgement I'm going to be testing the waters with an OSR Adventure Path for ZineMonth. It's something I've been toying with at the back of my mind for awhile now, and I'm going to use this opportunity to kick the tires on it, as it were, especially since my focus has...

    Tell your overdue Kickstarter story

There's some contact information on the Return to Perinthos Game jam page, here, that might yield some answers. Additionally Luke Gearing was involved in the final product, and he's always been pretty responsive, so you might try to get in touch with him.

    OSR OSR News Roundup

Welcome to the first News Roundup for February. January felt like it was a year long, but now with February we're into ZineMonth, and all the projects that it entails. I'll be posting periodic interviews with ZineMonth creators for the next month and a half, and I encourage everyone to check out...

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

For folks interested in the OSR, but want to avoid bad actors, I publish a weekly OSR News Roundup (here amongst other places) and specifically don't promote products that have problematic creators.

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

This is probably the major thing, but there've been other things he's done that have raised red flags, as well: LotFP's James Raggi says he'll ban anybody who talk about Zak S controversy

    OSR OSR News Roundup

Welcome to the last News Roundup for January 26th. If you're reading this right now, it means we haven't lost power today; like much of the US, we're being hit by a severe winter storm. I hope everyone stays safe and as warm as possible. Last week was pretty light on releases -- I'm assuming...
