Esper Genesis doesn't use the Mystic. Most "arcane magic" using classes (of which there are three) use a reskinned D&D5e magic system with the DMG alternate rules for Power Points.

IME if you actually play them, PODs provide a nice way to preserve the originals whilst still having copies for the table. And its great to allow players to grab their own copies if they need them :)

Actually, they seem to hit lots of beef and cheesecake and decent levels of 2016-era political correctness. The front cover is a great example of how to capture that essential element of Conan in a way that satisfies everyone IMO.
