AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

Yes, and posts have context. The context of my post was first and foremost comparing LLM 'art' with similar people created art. As such only the digital definition needs to be applied. For the kinds of art my definition is meant to apply to, it is very useful and absolutely correct...

AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

There's one thing here I don't get. What's the difference in using google, finding a website with a definition for a term and pasting that into enworld vs using chat gpt, getting a definition for a term and pasting that into enworld?

AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

Well see, I thought it was obvious I intentionally used a specific and narrower definition of art that was limited to the kinds of things an LLM can actually produce so that the conversation could stay apples vs apples. So score your rhetorical points, just know they don't reflect my argument...

It's not often we agree, but the right to know what you are buying is one I 100% agree with.

I don't think so. No. A chef is not a machine. There's a few degrees here to walk through. I get a frozen TV dinner and heat it up in the microwave. Did I make the dinner? Did the microwave? Did the frozen TV dinner company? (It depends on what 'make' means.) My colloquial use of...

AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

I think such an expansive definition of 'plagiarism' can be used to call virtually every human created art plagiarism, as all human art today is derived from previous human art. That's why many don't find such an argument persuasive. Yet, you describing something doesn't normally mean your...

Define ‘creating’? Because to me what I described is the act of creation and ai as a tool.

Do you think someone can imagine a particular image and prompt an ai repeatedly until it produces exactly what they are imagining? (I do). And if thats possible, even for one single person and one single image, then isn’t that the human creative process at work and not the ai?

Yes, 'The Algorithm' REALLY IS Like That

At least in my part of the world between 2000 and 2005 computer typing class was 2 spaces after a period to start a new sentence. That’s why I’m curious.

I think they hope they can get off as easy as change nothing and add warning label.

AI/LLMs DLSS 5 will be the worst thing to EVER happen to video games

My take, it’s very good at making the faces more realistic. It’s not as good with small background details.

    It’s already a meaningless word.

AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

I’m confused. 3rd party creators existed before AI. So why would not using AI harm them? Human artist prices should theoretically drop, so their product should get cheaper to make with human art. Also, If their marketplace disallows ai art then they don’t appear to be at a major disadvantage...
