Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

On topic, I think Jerry D. Grayson would be a great choice to publish a new d6 Star Wars RPG. He's done great work keeping the D6 System alive for the last decade or so, carefully revising it and adding some quality of life improvements (his Mythic D6: Revised and Expanded is probably the best...

Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

That was actually the lesser reason WEG (the first) went bankrupt. The bigger factor in WEG's (the first) demise was then owner Scott Palter pilfering the WEG coffers to keep his other business (shoe importer Bucci Retail Group) afloat. In the end, both businesses collapsed due to his mismanagement.

D&D General Forgotten Realms cover to "Guide to the Dalelands" revealed, book delayed

You're not wrong. And a lot of FR that the past few editions have focused on is painfully vanilla. I hate, hate, hate it. Chult was a welcome departure from the norm.

D&D General Forgotten Realms cover to "Guide to the Dalelands" revealed, book delayed

I don't hate it. Looks very much like FR in my head does. With more spears. I like spears.

When the top sci-fi RPG meets the top fantasy RPG

I have no interest in this, but if Traveller20 taught me anything, it's that there is an audience for Traveller done via D&D.

What RPG(s) did you stick with an earlier edition?

The Palladium RPG (later renamed to Palladium Fantasy). The first edition is kind of rough around the edges, but it's still largely its own thing. The later editions/printings tried to shoehorn the whole Megaversal system in there, and I hate them for that. Also, talking about the Palladium...

D&D General What the Melf's Guide to Greyhawk cover might look like

I'm excited about Greyhawk. I am not excited about that cover (the font is fine, the art seems mid).

    IN REMEMBRANCE--2026

Ross "The Boss" Friedman (Manowar) died yesterday. A true metal legend who provided the soundtrack to D&D games of my youth.

D&D General How do you do smart chaotic evil?

I feel that both the Roger Delgado and Anthony Ainley era Masters of Doctor Who infamy are great examples of Chaotic Evil characters. They make whatever grabs they can at absolute power planning be damned (for the most part), no matter who they might hurt.

WotC Why WotC SHOULD Make A New Setting

I don't think they should make a new setting. Instead, I think they should focus on the massive dustbin of old settings that they already own and, perhaps, pick one of those and make that the tent pole setting for three to five years instead of FR (which I dislike, but am also beyond bored with).

Systems that actualy emulate Western movies?

Avalon Hill's Gunslinger sits somewhere between a boardgame and a roleplaying game. You assume the roles of individual gunslingers (historical or created from scratch like in a roleplaying game) and act out gunfights. I've used it to run a (very) short roleplaying scenario based loosely on The...

    Savage Worlds Character Sheet

I do. At least bigger than those lines allow. Part of it is my age and, thus, my shaky hands and poor eyesight.
