    Shadowrun deserves better

2e was my favorite and I can't really nail down why. I think it was the timeframe it came out in (pre-kids, the Laubenstein and Bradstreet art rocked) and the group I ran it for, a smaller offshoot group of my main group of 2-3 consistent individuals. I think I got in every Bundle of Holding...

D&D 5E (2024) Ed Greenwood to Publish 4 New Forgotten Realms Sourcebooks in 2026

His original content was always good to spark the imagination, and I agree on the adventure writing. Fluff and adventures are two different beasts. One of my favorite books of his was Ed Greenwood Presents Elminster's Forgotten Realms. A behind-the-scenes look at the Realms...

TSR TSR3.5 Launches IndieGogo Campaign to "Stop" WotC

I'm 51 years old and I identify with this post. My 8 year old self is still peeling that flap of skin off the roof of my mouth.

D&D 5E (2014) Next OAR might be Giants? Goodman Games Original Adventures Revisited #7 might have a codename!

Oh I get that and I'm extremely glad they produced them (own them all). Just an FYI if anyone, if you want to run any of them using VTT, be prepared to spend extra time converting/making maps, encounters, and any fluff text.

D&D 5E (2014) Next OAR might be Giants? Goodman Games Original Adventures Revisited #7 might have a codename!

I just wish they'd have worked PDFs of their content into the contract so I could more easily run via VTT.

Everyday Heroes, The Rebirth Of d20 Modern: An Interview

I think it looks awesome! I can't wait for the Kickstarter to begin. These days, a lot of Kickstarters include a VTT component. I'm hoping that this will have one as well.

TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

This whole thing is very surreal. TTRPG has always been a niche of a niche in the grand scheme of things but to implode so publically is somewhat sad. NOTE - I'm NOT saying scorn and derision have not been fully earned by their stance but it's like watching the proverbial train wreck. This...

D&D 5E (2014) Wild Beyond The Witchlight Has A 'Feywild Adventure Accessory Kit'

It'll be fun to see WotC's take on the Feywild. I really love the stuff that Kobold Press does with the fey in general but I'm always up for some hijinx. Total sidebar question - A paladin's Divine Sense picks up celestials, fiends, or undead. I wonder what adding a druidic (I suppose or...

    D&D 5E (2014) Kudo's to DungeonDraft

A little background..apologize for the lengthy post. Skip past the text to see some novice results using DungeonDraft by Megasploot (I am not a paid endorser or pushing any product - I just want to share the fact that if you've got a little time you can create a lot of good stuff:)). I've...

    Old timers?

I was here back in 2002 (didn't post much I was on a different site more back then) - looking back at my posts I see I was looking for VTT (Fantasy Grounds) players back in 2005...I was way ahead of the curve:).

D&D General “Groom of the Stool” — how accurate do you want your royal courts to be

When I was in Salzburg last year (25th wedding anniversary) and visited the Fortress Hohensalzburg, I was surprised at the in-room toilet and its resemblance to a bench...so bench warmer may not be too far off the mark.

D&D General Settling Down And Making A Place Home

Ed - outstanding as always! I love the fact that the map used as the header of the article includes The Border Kingdoms. The Polyhedron issues where you detail some of them still stick in my mind as some of the best jumping off points for great campaigns, which is exactly where I'll start my...

    D&D 5E (2014) Bloodied Condition in 5e:

You could just modify the Injuries - Combat Option from the 5e DMG. Normally you roll for injuries when the any one (1) of the following conditions is met: When it takes a critical hit When it drops to 0 hit points but isn’t killed outright When it fails a death saving throw by 5 or more You...

AD&D 2E Perusing 2e Warriors and Priests of the Realms - Converting to 5e backgrounds and archetypes

I'm late to the game..ahem..pun intended. While cleaning up my basement, and gaming collection which is where it resides, I came across my AD&D 2e stuff. Note, cleaning up the basement has been an ongoing project and organizing games usually leads me to sit down with said game instead of...
