D&D General What the Melf's Guide to Greyhawk Cover Might Look Like

It absolutely is a stretch, I don't think there is any chance whatsoever that this was included in the apology.

D&D General What the Melf's Guide to Greyhawk Cover Might Look Like

that might be true for your case, I just don’t see them doing it. They might be fine leaning into this direction a little to get back people who are easier to win back (however many that might be), but I don’t think they will release a new set of core books for this. And even if they did, what...

D&D General 'War Wizard' Is A New Dragonlance Novel From Weis & Hickman

you may have disagreed with this before, that does not make it a correction though. TSR wanted the Fifth Age, Weis/Hickman agreed to write the books ending the 4th Age because otherwise TSR would simply have hired someone else to do it and this way they at least had some influence in sending...

D&D General What the Melf's Guide to Greyhawk Cover Might Look Like

so you are ok with the 5.5 rules but object to the art? I doubt you will get a different book, rules or art

D&D General Melf's Guide to Greyhawk Coming From Luke Gygax & WotC

have you met Canadians? ;) Also, it was pretty unclear what he apologized for, and I doubt it was the book you think of, let alone the one you confuse it with (Ben Riggs’ book)

RPG CROWDFUNDING NEWS – DnD Shorts, 7th Sea, Tunnels & Trolls, and more

over the top is fine, if that is what the content also is. I want a cover that makes clear what the content is like, it is free to exaggerate to get that across. Makes it pretty clear what I expect the content to be ;)

D&D General Melf's Guide to Greyhawk Coming From Luke Gygax & WotC

Book by Ben Riggs? For one that is not from WotC, so they have nothing to apologize for, and for another, you are mischaracterizing it.

WotC Why WotC SHOULD Make A New Setting

it’s working fine, it just isn’t sarcasm… if you want to convince me that it is horror you will need examples, not simply the repetition of an unsupported claim. Just because DL has a tragic figure in Soth does not make the setting a horror setting. By that logic any setting is, pretty sure...

WotC Why WotC SHOULD Make A New Setting

I assume they try to do that with every release, you and a ton of other people. How well they succeed is another matter and will depend on the individual

WotC Why WotC SHOULD Make A New Setting

for me the answer is simple, because I do not care whether the setting I use is from WotC or not, and it more often than not isn’t

WotC Why WotC SHOULD Make A New Setting

well, I disagree, not really seeing any horror in it that goes beyond you average D&D setting

D&D General 'War Wizard' Is A New Dragonlance Novel From Weis & Hickman

you can simplify the double negative to I do think they could have created stories that people liked, but making everything in the original trilogy meaningless in the ‘next’ novel left a bad taste

D&D General 'War Wizard' Is A New Dragonlance Novel From Weis & Hickman

I don’t think they could not have created new stories with new characters that people would have liked, it’s just that they created stories in which people did not like the direction the world was taken in. The whole 5th Age with undoing everything the Heroes did just a decade or so after that...

D&D General Art of Clyde Caldwell Kickstarter

You got the regular version or the XXL one? The latter is $200 on their site ($170 on Amazon), given that the Caldwell book is somewhat smaller (dimension wise, no idea about page count), its $140 do not seem to be that far off

WotC Why WotC SHOULD Make A New Setting

except for Kender, you could say the same about other D&D settings like Greyhawk, FR, or Eberron as well (and yes, you are glossing over a few things there too, e.g. the war never was endless)
