    New Prestige Class- Forest Lurker

would do you think i could do to bolster his archery skills in a non-traditional way (unlike peerless archer/order of the bow/deepwood)?

    New Prestige Class- Forest Lurker

I wasn't sure about the wild shape. I added it as a divine gift from Moah.. to be able to frolic in the forest with the other little animals. If I were to take it out, what could go in its place?

    New Prestige Class- Forest Lurker

This is my first attempt at a prestige class. I welcome any comments/critique/help.. especially concerning balance. I can never tell if anything's under or over powered. Thanks! Forest Lurker There are those who worship Moah, the goddess of elves and woodlands, and there are those that...

    Ranger Feats

what if your ranger used a long sword in his primary hand, and a throwing axe in the off-hand, chucking it when necessary. (still be good to have quick-draw in this case). thanks crothian and hypersmurf for the manyshot clarification...:D

    Ranger Feats

You can use manyshot with shot on the run. manyshot is a standard action, so you still have a move action available. i'd say that, unless you specialize in thrown weapons, to ditch shot on the run. if your using bows, you should be far enough away from the combat that moving before and after...

How do You feel about Sorcerers and Metamagic Feats?

Re: Re: How do You feel about Sorcerers and Metamagic Feats? Still increases the casting time every time they want to use it.

    Savage Species: Feral Question

I think, with a few noticeable exceptions, the book is balanced. The majority of monsters are just ill-suited as player characters.

    Savage Species: Feral Question

If it uses all HD, how could the template possibly be balanced. The feral temp contains the following characteristics, all of which are considered min. +1 LA, according to the 2nd chapter: Unbalanced ability scores (albiet only by 2) Fast Healing Improved Grab Natural Attacks +6 Natural Armor...

    question about spellcasting prodigy feat

Neither. You treat appropriate ability score as two points higher for purposes of bonus spells and spellcasting DC. You may want to purchase the book ;)

    Spell like ability and Spellcraft

I would say that you can identify WHAT he's doing, but only AFTER he's done it. Of course, there are other factors involved, like iniative and such.

    Paladins in 3.5, why?

Definately PRC. Its the only core class with one and only one "code of conduct," the only core class that allows one and only one alignment, and there's the multiclass restriction on top of that. Of course you can play a "different" type of paladin- meaning you can use different armor and...

    Assume Supernatural Ability:which one?

Umm- Inc? Pardon my ignorance, but I don't know what that is. A juvenile gold dragon has 17 HD (and its breath weapon is 8d10, BTW) and a beholder has (I think) 11 HD. You, having only 10 levels, cannot use polymorph self to take these creatures forms. You can only change into something with...

    Savage Species: Feral Question

This takes me back to my original question: Does that feral elf get those abilities, or does he technically have no monster HD when he trades it in for a class?

    Virtual feat and PrC

I'd say no: the description for a precise weapon doesn't give you a feat, it allows you to do something that mimics a feat. In order to have a virtual feat, your 'feat' must be a class feature or special ability.

    Savage Species: Feral Question

Rich Redman said on the Wizards board that inherited templates' scaleable abilities are based on monster HD when you add the template. The introductory section of the template chapter in SS seems to hint at this at times, but its all very subtle and non-specific.

    Savage Species: Feral Question

Well, I also thought that. But under special attacks, it reads: "It gains the special attacks indicated in the row corresponding to its monster Hit Dice, plus all those in previous rows." -SS p. 116 Also, I believe I heard (or read) that for templates, abilities that change with hit dice use...

    Savage Species: Feral Question

If you were to add the Feral template to a standard pc race (elf, for example), would the new creation receive the special attacks or special qualities (i.e. darkvision, fast healing) as if he/she had 1 monster hit die, or none? I'm aware that class levels don't count as monster hit die for...
