Not to diminish your criticisms, but sometimes "chosen one" prophecies are self-fulfilling just by how others react to the prophecy and treat the chosen one. See also Oedipus Rex. And this is actually touched on in the books revealing that the chosen one could have been Neville instead, had...

I know back in 2012 he severely injured the thumb of his drawing hand on a shard of broken glass. It cut tendons IIRC, and he needed surgery and was unable to draw for months. The first comic he did when he came back was a recap since it had been so long, and there is a reference to his injury...

You are probably sick of hearing this, but Andor really is different from just about anything else in Star Wars (it is close to Rogue One, obviously, but even that is a different tone). Did you see Rogue One? Did you like it? Andor is really worth a watch.

Yesterday I learned that Sean Connery was the first choice to play Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Ian McKellan gave such a masterful portrayal it is difficult to see anyone else in the role, but it would have been interesting to see.
