    [Netflix] Dept Q (SPOILERS)

I thought this was a great watch. The Scotland transplant from Denmark was odd, especially when they preserved Morck's Danish name! Did appreciate the Scotch sarcasm though...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Although, Sandman Season 2 came out today...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Yeah... I got through about 20 minutes. I might finish it if I can't find a burnt stick to jab into my eye instead.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

No doubt! But strong statements not based on facts are what's being discussed, not feelings.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I think it's even funnier when someone makes a statement based on 'feels' and when asked to substantiate that statement, like with facts and stuff, they resort to this tired old chestnut.

Jess Lanzillo Departs Wizards of the Coast

The extra details don't break Occam's Razor; they're just painting a more complete picture of the single situation being examined :) As a general rule, I agree. As you say, though, there are specifics to this context which are outside that rule.

Jess Lanzillo Departs Wizards of the Coast

Exactly. @TwoSix , this is what I would consider the Occam's Razor position. Doesn't mean that other explanations aren't possible or even plausible, but this would be the most likely in my opinion.

D&D General What do you say when someone is thinking of quitting your game?

I'd say something like, 'I'm sorry to see you go! Whether the game was to your liking or not, or if there is something else going on in your life that makes coming to the game tough, all good. You're welcome back anytime. If there's something about this decision you want to discuss with me, I'm...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Nice counterpoint! Although, counter-counterpoint, this hasn't been the case for at least a decade*. But I'm picking up what you're laying down. Technically, it's because it was required on the front end i.e. on your PC e.g. to run a local Java applet, or run a local Minecraft game. If it were...

Jess Lanzillo Departs Wizards of the Coast

Not really that unusual. She took the job, something she had not been thinking about career-wise. Didn't like it, so left. There are lots of explanations here that don't involve jamming a tin foil hat on one's head. Consider all options, but Occam's Razor, etc.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

The message here, @Ryujin , is, like in all things in life, demonising something you don't understand never leaves the world in a better place.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

As do modern Minecraft installations apparently. My eldest daughter was heavily into Minecraft a decade or so ago and back then, installing Java was required to run Minecraft. Today, (according to what I just looked up) the game installation comes bundled with its own JRE, so no need to install...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

If 'Java asks you to uninstall itself', one possibility is that you're installing a current version and the installer is asking you if you would like to uninstall older versions you have installed. The other possibility is best explained with a little background... Once upon a time, Java was...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Err... you're aware that Oracle owns Java? You're also talking about this language like it's defunct. I'm curious to hear what your involvement with software development is that would lead you to make that statement.

The First Rule of David Fincher is You Don't Rank David Fincher

I guess you missed the bit in the OP specifically excluding his TV shows from the rankings? Mindhunter was fantastic TV though.
