For me, the point of pre-painted miniatures is the fact that I cannot paint them better myself. Allergies and an unsteady hand mean that I cannot paint them at all. So, instead of having a lot of unpainted minis on the table, I rather like having prepainted ones.

I've been running a 3.0 campaign for quite a few years, and the game is still going on. We never felt the need to switch to 3.5. We may steal a little bit here and there from 3.5 and other game systems, but at its heart my game is still 3.0.
