Happy Haggert Hurried Hungry Hitch Hiking Hired Henchmen Hivers.... apply within

Look, in the Aesop’s Fable of “The Grasshopper & the Ants”, I’m absolutely a Grasshopper. I’m a very impulsive buyer. But if someone is going to ask me to talk them out of buying something, I will absolutely try.

    Dog advice

Not exactly common. My understanding is it’s usually a result of being given to many table treats or a symptom of a bunch of different diseases or pathogens. In her case, the symptoms were that she lost a BUNCH of weight very quickly, and became weak & lethargic.

    Dog advice

Our grrrl had a BAD pancreatitis scare. The vets were able to rule out the most dangerous causes- including contagious diseases, parasites, or environmental issues- but never figured out what actually caused it. So we were told she needed a better diet, which meant either expensive...

    D&D 3.x I miss 3.5 edition

After I’d been playing D&D a decade or so, and having tried games like Traveller & Champions, I had a mental shift in how I played. Instead of being driven by Monte Haulism, I started trying my damnednest to fully realize my characters within the ruleset used. I wanted them to be the most...

    Cookin again

I actually do have some pink pickling salt, as well as some brand new, commercial grade plastic food bins to do the pickling in. Got them at my favorite restaurant supply store. I’m doing 15-20lbs total (using the commercial CB) for St. Patrick’s Day, to be divided between 5 households. After...

    D&D 3.x I miss 3.5 edition

I never touched 3Ed. Some of the stuff I saw in reviews didn’t sit well with me, so I just gave it a pass.

    D&D 3.x I miss 3.5 edition

One of the things about M&M some forget is the supplement Warriors & Warlocks- a FRPG-themed expansion. Not that you needed it, strictly speaking, but things like that are always helpful. I own a copy, but never got around to using it. In a retrospective tangent: it might have been a better...

    Cookin again

I did find some at the second grocery store. I got 2 of them instead of the 3 I was intending to buy. That’s because one of them is over a pound bigger than every other CB I’ve seen in the store- over 5lbs- so I’ll be able to cook it and cut it to share between 2 households. I’ll probably cut...
