Which of these D&D classes would you take if you had to choose one?

Fatebender or Tinkerer, although the Gemini could be interesting, depending on how the flavor text turns into new rules.

Interview with Darrell Hayhurt, Ulisses North America - Part Two

Obvious_Ninja, I played in a regular Torg campaign for years in college, and I've backed the first three Kickstarters. My regular gaming group decided to try out a session, and they've demanded a repeat performance. I think it reproduces the best things about the original Torg and smooths out...

Does Winter's Splendor require Dragon Heist to run, or are the stats for the NPCs mentioned included in the module?

[Poll] Vote For The Top 10 Horror RPGs!

My favorite horror RPG experiences were in a long-running Torg campaign in the 90s. Orrorsh was...horrifying.

Guide Your Star Infinity Wars With The Mutants & Mastermind Cosmic Handbook

I have three teenage sons, and they wanted to play a sci-fi / space-opera / bounty hunter game, a mash-up of Guardians of the Galaxy and Cowboy Bebop. The Cosmic Handbook was a life-saver. I've been able to rely heavily on the ideas and NPCs in that book, as well as the DC Adventures Universe...

#RPGaDAY Day 18: Which RPG have you played the most in your life?

My longest stint of consistent gaming was in college, and the Torg campaign lasted the longest, and was the easiest one to pick up on the fly and play. If you add up at the 2e / Planescape / Spelljammer / Dark Sun / Birthright and BECMI D&D, then D&D might match the time spent playing Torg.

#RPGaDAY Day 08: What is a good RPG to play for sessions of 2hrs or less?

Fate Accelerated, especially if you use "It's Not My Fault!" - characters can be created in 3-5 minutes by drawing three cards, interpersonal drama set in another 3-5 minutes, and the conflict is triggered by drawing three more cards...

#RPGaDAY Day 04: Which RPG have you played the most since August 2016?

Cypher System - I played a bunch of Cypher stuff at GameholeCon (including playtesting Predation with Shanna Germain - squee!), and I've run a session of Predation for my sons at home. We also play some D&D and a bit of Fate.

Your most anticipated games of 2016?

TORG: Eternity, or whatever they are calling it. I've got a friend I've gamed with for more than 20 years who is already threatening to convert all his current campaigns to TORG once the game drops.

    The Second Doctor Sourcebook

2 out of 5 rating for The Second Doctor Sourcebook I loved the First Doctor Sourcebook, and I want to love this one as well. In many ways, the Second Doctor is my favorite: often underestimated, frequently panic stricken, Moe Howard-as-cosmic hobo come to save the day. But editing errors and...

    The Strange Corebook

3 out of 5 rating for The Strange Corebook I bought this book because a) Monte Cook is a gaming genius and b) the concept reminded me of WEG's Torg. I spent many a happy gaming day during college around the TORGasbord. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed, even though the art is gorgeous, and I...

Mutants & Masterminds Deluxe Hero's Handbook

5 out of 5 rating for Mutants & Masterminds Deluxe Hero's Handbook Mutants and Masterminds fills a sweet spot in superhero gaming. It's just complicated to scratch some of the power-gaming / careful calculation itch that Champions scratched so well, but heroic enough to emulate some of the best...
