Four years have passed since the mortal races banded together and stood united against the might of the Burning Legion. Though Azeroth was saved, the tenuous pact between the Horde and the Alliance has all but evaporated. The drums of war thunder once again but the moons reveal a change in the...

Ranger druid multiclass question (possible catch 22)

I wanted to create a character with the same feel as a 3e druid. The concept being that I would A. the ability to wild shape effectively, B. an animal companion, C. cast spells, and D. not need to swing a sword to hit things. stats: Str 14, Con 15, Dex 14, Int 10, Wis 16, Cha 8 (at level 1)...

    Sacrificial Bunnies (Warlock curse question)

I the no shard from greys was brilliant and makes perfect sense. Actually there is an item in the phb that does something similar, it is called a Rod of Harvest.

The dex requirement is steep for a TWFer but I don't think it is unbalanced now if only you could combine this with the stickyness of a fighter...lol

    Twf question

Consider the following: the Heavy Blade Opportunity feat lets you make an opp attack with a heavy blade and you can attack with an at-will attack instead of a basic attack. The Two-Weapon Flurry feat: While holding a melee weapon in each hand, if you make a successful opportunity attack with...

Excerpt: Minions. Go forth mine minions! Bring havoc with your 1 hp [merged]

Thats very loaded logic. (not referring to you personally, just the argument) One could conversely that that the ground you fall on is attacking you. It just always wins :D

Excerpt: Minions. Go forth mine minions! Bring havoc with your 1 hp [merged]

that makes a lot of sense. Minions should not have hit points at all. Once you make that leap all of the other problems of logic just fall into place.

Excerpt: Minions. Go forth mine minions! Bring havoc with your 1 hp [merged]

I do agree with that. Hoards of minions could tpk if not done carefully. I also get the image of a rouge sneaking into a keep and just demolishing all the minions before they even begin to use their glass swords

Excerpt: Minions. Go forth mine minions! Bring havoc with your 1 hp [merged]

I realize that my post was an extreme example but I have read that encounter design is made to be flexible. IF i want a large group of enemies to fight a party but I want it to be a very difficult fight why not use minions a few levels higher?

Excerpt: Minions. Go forth mine minions! Bring havoc with your 1 hp [merged]

If any attack that does damage kills a minion does that mean that a first level pc can kill a level 30 minion on a crit? ( i say on a crit because a level 1 should not be able to hit a level 20 any other way) I am not sure I like that but then as a DM i would never set that kind of situation up...

    Multiclassing.

I played a "slacker" type character that was a drifter who never applied himself at anything for too long. He was human nobility but 20th in line for the throne. I played him from 1st to 12th level (when the campaign ended) and he had 12 different classes. And yes he was an effective character.

    Multiclassing.

Question: if you play a half elf and of class A, can you take as your racial ability a power from class B, and Then take multi class feast from class C?

    Multiclassing.

after seeing the article it occurred to me, What if a Warlock took the warrior of the wild feat. He could apply the curse and hunters quarry to the same guy and be doing +2d6 or more damage (with other feats). That is my kind of striker :)

Cover doesn't apply to fort and will defense? Now that is interesting. I am not sure if I like that, I will have ponder the idea for a while.
