    Short treatise on Fantasy

Oh, yeah. Faith and Philosophy. The two most confusing things on Earth (but I can't prove that, so that's a belief). "'I refuse to prove that I exist,' says God, 'for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.' 'But,' says Man, 'the Babel fish proves you exist. It could not have...

    Short treatise on Fantasy

What matters is not what's done, but how it's done. I'm not saying that magic can't do X. I'm saying that you must define how magic does X, and how exactly one gets it to do that. In essence, if X is your desired result, how does a +b =X? If a=c, does c +b=X? Why? If a cabal of wizards can't...

    Short treatise on Fantasy

No, not really. You can add or change as many as you like, as long as you specify what you're adding or changing, and exactly how it ties in with or is capable of altering those that already exist. To use D&D as an example again, most notably Faerun, note that the "weave" is a rather complex...

    Finally finished this thing....

Yes *shakes fist in air* I admit it! But I need vindication! And contructive criticism is always good! Ah...I did it, but I forgot the wet edges. I changed Koma's skin color. Is this what you mean? I also admit Waseer could be a little more round. And don't forget the elder horror from...

    Finally finished this thing....

It took a while. I had many false starts, caffeinated beverages, and a lot of bad feelings, as well as some pacing sullenly wondering what to do, but it's done. I don't think it's that great. Not my best work, but then, nothing ever is. It's also a personal joke based upon something a friend...

Broncosaurus Rex: The Inheritors story hour

I scribbled down the events and characters from the last campaign I ran, one I dubbed "The Inheritors." I was going to write a story around it, but I just have a lot of things to do. I've got the synopses of the campaign sessions, however, and I think I'll post them here for all to see and shake...

    Favorite d20 Modern "campaign"

Re: Re: Nani? Right there. As for Mecha Crusade, it is pretty out there as far as rules go, but it does work. I've seen it work. And it works well. Hmmm......I liked GeneTech, sorta. Coulda used some more bizarre X-files type "just on the edge" light fantasy. Perhaps If I play up the...

    D20 Modern website

My freaky manapunk setting has gone up over at http://members.fortunecity.com/aesca . Nothing much is up yet, but there'll be some game rule content up by the middle of February (One person doing all the work (art + text + bad coding)= slow updates). The latest update news is underneath the...

[Advanced Class] The Punker Daemon (illustrated)

It is, actually. here we go. This was an idea, an attempt, really, to turn the Charismatic hero (from d20 Modern) into a fighting-type character. I'm not fully sure of how it'll work in a play, though. Before I try it out, anybody got any comments or thoughts? Punker Daemon "Huh? No, thanks...

    [Advanced Class] The Punker Daemon

I thnk I originally put this on the wrong board. Oh, well. This was an idea, an attempt, really, to turn the Charismatic hero (from d20 Modern) into a fighting-type character. I'm not fully sure of how it'll work in a play, though. Before I try it out, anybody got any comments or thoughts...

[Advanced Class] The Punker Daemon (illustrated)

It is d20 Modern campaign related! I am no longer shamed! Thank you, Mister Man! *dances around in ecstatic glee* *Mr. Author realizes realizes that's quite disturbing, asks her to stop* I posted it below.

    Favorite d20 Modern "campaign"

Woah, go back there a second! Mecha Crusade was a d20 Modern mini-game. "Requires the D20 Modern Core Rulebook to play" is a pretty big giveaway there. On another note, how is d20 Modern not set up to do science fiction? Isn't GeneTech science fiction?

Which D&D author/designer do you like best?

I like ME. Because I know what's balanced for My game. Because I can control the spells the players know/have access to. Because I have situations in My game that may be different. And because I'm a pretty good writer.

    [Poly] World War II Mini-Game

I dunno. I'd kinda like to see a freaky manapunk type setting, where it's the modern day (around 20th century sometime), but not. With dungeons, weird monsters, magic is the norm, but with pseudo-modern technology. Not extremely dark and gritty like Shadowrun, but more fun, with swords and...

    d20 Modern House Rules

Yes, well, no one in America know the metric system off the top of their head. We were well on our way until Ronald "Kill the Bastards" Reagan got elected into office and didn't want this crazy foreigner talk in his country, no sir! Ah, and the errata is to 2/4/6. Mister Ryan said so, so...

    Aughhh! Setting Headache!

Um, no. That's something entirely different. I'm a pretty prolific writer (I have about four settings that are almost complete). Talaka, my India setting, is much less whacked-out and more realistic. Aesca, on the other hand, is just weird. I didn't know how else to describe Aesca other than...

[D20 Modern] Anyone using it for a not-so Modern game?

I'm using it for a 40/50s atomic age that never was manapunk setting reminescent of a cross between Dinotopia, Final Fantasy X, and The A-team.
