wow, i never expected this much help. you guys must have a lot of experience under your belts to come up with this stuff. i appreciate your time.

i started with 2nd addition, then i went to Vampire and Werewolf before 3rd edition came out.

In my campaign of 8 players, challenging them in a battle has gotten difficult. either i underestimate and they blow through it or i over estimate and they get decimated. the CR concept does not work (probably because we have several powergamers in the group) anyways here is the group of eight...

what about an ape i my friends game their is a drow ranger/tamer of beasts, she has a legendary ape trained to wear armor. would an ape, even a companion willingly accept full-plate?

With MOTW animal companions can learn the armor trick, which lets them wear armor. does this mean that they are automatically proficient with it?( can an ape with armor trick wear full plate and not suffer any penalties even though it is not proficient with heavy armor?) thanks for any help

do you guys think that dm's should award exp for stuff that their players do out of the game. (i.e. one player brings snacks dm awards 100 exp), ( or player pisses dm off out of game, and dm threatens to kill player in game). i don't think it is right for a dm to overeach their control to realife.
