Online gaming just seems completely unappealing to me. If I didn't have real groups to game with, I'd just stop gaming. To me,the only way to play is at a table, surrounded by my fellow humans. I'd rather eat glass than "game" online. It seems like the opposite of fun. Computers kill the mood...

It bugs me a little. It doesn't ruin the game or anything. I'd just prefer that players wouldn't do it.

I'd play AD&D any day of the week. But I wouldn't trust WOTC to get it right. Their version of D&D isn't what I'd call D&D. So TSR's AD&D? I'd be all about it. WOTC's hypothetical AD&D? Wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft. pole.

Edition Wars are very entertaining. Speaking as one who mostly lurks, I gotta say I've been enjoying the edition wars. As a matter of fact, the only reason I ever read these forums is to have a laugh at the "edition warriors". The hypocrisy and complete lack of self awareness (on both sides)...

Hey! Willie Walsh! I ran Huddle Farm from Dungeon #12 last week. What a terrific adventure. My players and I had a great time not killing stuff for a change. You should write more adventures.

I don't care if kids want to play RPGs or not. I'm an adult, why would I want to hang out with kids anyways? Non-issue.

We already switched from 3rd ed to Pathfinder months ago, with the Beta. We'll be switching from the Beta to the final version of Pathfinder next campaign. The general feeling among my group is that Pathfinder is D&D. We never say we're playing Pathfinder, we still just say we're playing D&D.

Balance, or rather the common conception of balance on internet forums, is a fad. Soon people will find some other aspect of RPGs to fetishize.

I've never played WOW more than once because I don't like it. It doesn't appeal to me. I've never played 4.0 more than once because I don't like it. It doesn't appeal to me. So in that sense, WOW is like 4.0.

In 8 or so years of DMing 3rd ed. I've never seen a fight take more than half an hour. All these claims of 6 hour fights really leave me scratching my head.
