    Copper Merchant

Needs stats, Thievery skill too low to be affective, should have mix of ranged and melee abilities(melee could be called "Demonstration"). I don't have my book with me but I'm pretty sure the HP and defenses are low for the level and role plus the solo(x5 HP). Very interesting, I'd suggest a...

How well would the group fare against...

I wouldn't have him turn into a solo, make him an elite(for the extra hp), a few special tricks when he's bloodied, and a healing surge. Oh, and be sure to give him a quick way out, for future harassment of the PC's. If he's the obvious boss, chances are the Pc's will ignore everything else...

Dwarven Weapon Training and Adventurer's Vault Weapons

it increases damage, it doesn't give proficency

    New At-Wills

ok.. let's see. Cleric, arguably weak, but i could see where it could come in handy if the DM throws lots of sneaky things around. Fighter, Whoah... powerful... I'd basically never use anything else as a fighter. it's easily as or more powerful than some of the other low level powers...

Help! A player wants to play "Captain America"

I know the game is supposed to be a "yes" game... but... NO! Seriously, don't let him do it, or let him do it but don't bend over backwards doing anything to let it work any better than presented by the rules. If he wants to play a super hero he's playing the wrong game this is dungeons and...

    Tackling Someone

Off the top of my head that sounds like a str vs fort attack. but there's no official working rule.

    Vor Kragal (new Dragon Release)

I don't care about the fluff, but there's a weapon enhancement, an artifact, and 3 monsters. that's pretty good, for free.

    Magic Item: Healing Surge (Minor)

no, it's not a daily power. the rest of the paragraph explains how it works... You spend a healing surge as a standard action(without gaining the HP) and you regain access to the ability.

    Sacrificial Bunnies (Warlock curse question)

Nice line. I honestly don't see what the problem with people is at this point. People are having a hard time understanding what a credible threat means? If if can't easily and readily harm you, it's not a threat. An animal in a cage(or bag) is not a real threat, a goblin you tied up to drag...

    They killed Pun Pun!

yay? A stupid thought experiment based on faulty reasoning, and poor rules interpretation. Gone? "Good" I say. That being said, kobolds are a lot stronger in 4E.

    Halflings - What's the Attraction?

why would anyone choose to play any of the medium races? being small has only one real side effect, you can't use 2handed weapons. I don't really consider that a problem as anything smaller than normal. I don't normally think of wielding 4-6 feet of steel. as there is no real penalty there is...

why cant I sneak attack with a longbow?

easy... the class should really be named "ninja" or if that rubs you the wrong way, a handcrossbow is a stealthier weapon than a longbow, and it's what the class powers focus on, so you can get sneak attack on a power.

Wizard at 30 still using magic missle?

1st level magic missile 20 int wizard. (7-13) (13 on crit) 30th level magic missile 28 Int wizard with +6 implement. (19-31)(31+6d6 on crit) seems pretty good to me....but it wouldn't be my first action in a combat.

Some Questions about creating higher then 1st lvl characters

are you complaining that you have 5 armor choices? that's pretty good. and the items you get for "free" are up to those levels you can choose things of lower levels. and honestly, you'll pretty quickly find new and better stuff as you adventure.

D&D 4E 4e -- Is The World Made Of Cheese?

Off topic: no, you changed the comparison. you were comparing source of problem and problem with another source of problem and problem. source: rules & children problem: rules lawyers & pedophiles apples to oranges AND airplanes to automobiles are direct object comparisons it's not the same...

D&D 4E 4e -- Is The World Made Of Cheese?

I think he did. That's a heck of a thing to say. Like blaming wife beating on her not being in the kitchen... ah... comparing stupid crap to really serious stuff is fun. Blaming the rules for the existence of rules lawyers is like blaming speculator for the price of oil. hmm... that ones...

D&D 4E 4e -- Is The World Made Of Cheese?

yes, I do. that kind of damage also did less to items...I don't have the book with me but I believe is was half damage and then hardness that applied... so you had to do twice it's hardness just to hurt it... and by the time you could do that to and item worth breaking, you could use a spell...

D&D 4E 4e -- Is The World Made Of Cheese?

Wow... this thread is still getting posts? Ok, my 2 cents.... If your M.O. is to Bash thru walls instead of walking around a dungeon. Fine. There are no rules for it past a certain point. Because it becomes a physical impossibility for players. If I remember correctly someone put a DC 35...

NPC merchants have a damn good union!

Why is this such a big deal? I've seen no less than 6 threads about the "unfair market". As an adventurer you will ALWAYS make such a stupid amount of money it shouldn't ever matter...making 20% of the value shouldn't even bother you. If your idea of a fun game is playing merchant traveling...
