D&D 5E Kara Tur vs Tarkir vs Kamigawa vs Plane of Mountains and Seas vs Ikoria

https://www.rt.com/op-ed/487606-nerd-hobbies-sjw-attack/amp/?__twitter_impression=true Apparent Orcs are racist too. I just give up. Sorry, I know I said I was getting out of this thread, but I saw this and thought it deserved to be shared.

D&D 5E What does Midgard do that Forgotten Realms and Wildemount don't?

Where does the Scarred Lands fit into this?

D&D 5E What does Midgard do that Forgotten Realms and Wildemount don't?

If I tried to hit every more FR war I'd be hours at it. 😃 I also didn't mention the war between Shou Lung and Tu Lung, the war between Shou Lung and Wa, Cormyr's civil war, the attempted invasion of Evermeet, the war between the Ffolk and Amn, the wars between Thay and all it's...

D&D 5E What does Midgard do that Forgotten Realms and Wildemount don't?

There was a bunch of stuff for FR, but that might have been more in Dragon magazine. An example of this would be new elf Gods for the Forgotten that were largely ignored until MTOFs remembered they existed.

D&D 5E What’s So Great About Medieval Europe?

    Exactly, perfect.

D&D 5E What does Midgard do that Forgotten Realms and Wildemount don't?

FR has wars, it's just that most of them are low level raids and stuff. I think that most FR has fewer wars at any given time because usually because when serious wars break out, they resolves fairly quickly and with a horrifying end. The Crown Wars each ended with a day of mourning level...

D&D 5E What does Midgard do that Forgotten Realms and Wildemount don't?

I think Golaron was at least created by a large group of people, including Ed Greenwood, to basically be a replacement for the Forgotten Realms because Paizo which had gotten used to using FR when it ran Dragon and Dungeon Mags, couldn't use it anymore. And I hate when settings like these...

D&D 5E What does Midgard do that Forgotten Realms and Wildemount don't?

Ravenloft is designed to plug into every setting, heck it's a connected to a bunch of D&D settings already. It even fits with MtG setting, I could see dumping Innistrad in the core and Amonkhet which is a very dystopian Egypt setting would be prefect in the Amber Wastes Cluster (a cluster of...

D&D 5E What’s So Great About Medieval Europe?

I'm Okay with calling game of Thrones British, or calling Star Wars crap no matter where it's made. And yeah, the Federation is nothing like the US, a mix of Klingons and Ferengi on the other hand...

Unearthed Arcana Why UA Psionics are never going to work in 5e.

It also doesn't help that they often don't give us the context for classes. And that they give up way, way too easily.

Unearthed Arcana Why UA Psionics are never going to work in 5e.

Ravnica was a MtG turned D&D setting, but calling it fleshed out is an over statement, it over focused on the guilds, left out some of the coolest monsters, and missed an opportunity to explore elements that get ignored by the main story of, Ravnica, like the Ravnica cards that aren't linked...

Unearthed Arcana Why UA Psionics are never going to work in 5e.

The Divine Soul Sorcerer uses Divine Magic instead of Arcane unlike other Sorcerers (although I can see an arguement that Shadow Sorcerers use Shadow Magic instead). And I think their powers come from a magical spark in their soul, so it's innate, but it's more then just talent, it's apart...

Critical Role [+] What does Wildemount do that Forgotten Realms doesn't?

It's not better at all, it's mostlya recycled Dawn War Pantheon with a local twists, plus a borrowed God from Galaron, but altered. The idols are cooler then the Dawn War Pantheon. He does do some cool fluffing of the Pantheon. But yeah, still not nearly as interesting as FRs Gods, or even...

D&D General Reducing Faerun pantheon (The Dawn War treatment)

This defeats the point of playing in the Forgotten Realms. Still if your going this route you can have the Adama as the only God, but with other gods as aspects of the Adama. This is already a canon religion on Faerun. You can't reduce the gods below 1, unless you make the setting Atheist.

D&D 5E What’s So Great About Medieval Europe?

It's more then just shooting locations, it feels very different in many ways from American Star Trek and there are ALOT more Canadians working on these shows then just actors Shatner and James Doohan and beloved Anti-hero character Michael Eddington. Canadians are all over the new Star Trek TV...

    D&D 5E Dragon+ Magazine Issue 31 out now!

Snapdax, I love Snapdax, he's a giant Cat that is part Dinosaur and part Nightmare (thing creatures like the Sworrowsworn in MTOFs, but usually with multiple eyes/limbs).

It could be for multiple settings including Birthright. I guess we will see.

D&D 5E What’s So Great About Medieval Europe?

Old Star Trek is American, new Star Trek is Canadian. Discovery was shot in Toronto Canada, Short Treks is short in Toronto Canada, Section 31 will be shot in Toronto Canada, hypothetical Pike series with be shot in Toronto Canada, Starfleet Academy hypothetical series will be shot in...

WotC Ray Winninger Is Head of D&D RPG Team; Mike Mearls No Longer Works on RPG

As they say folks should let sleeping dogs lie. I wish Ray would do an interview there we could get a taste for his vision for D&D 5e, how he plans on putting his mark on D&D.
