Anybody know when the Bestiary will be out in hard copy?

Not yet. I won't read it until I have it as a hard copy. I haven't pre-ordered, so I might have to wait.

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

Loads of solid tips - I think I've got most covered, and I'll be making sure to cover the rest :)

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

Good call on not having the same between delves resting point, Libramarian. I've got a few resting locations, but they're mostly in the dungeon - I need to go over the above ground resting points and make sure there's enough variety

D&D 5E Are you coming back to D&D from another GAME SYSTEM? (theoretically?)

I play a variety of differing RPGs, and the moment 13th Age is my fantasy system of choice (before that it was 4e). I have yet to decide whether or not I'll go with DnDnext.

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

Very important point. Most of the sub-dungeon areas have reasonably direct ways in and out to the surface, but some areas are far more isolated than others. I've tried to avoid obvious bottlenecks.

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

Indeed. I'm hoping to give the PCs multiple reasons to delve, and return, and keep delving beyond " Get treasure."

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

What about a megadungeon with a simple plot, and a number of simply subplots within? or are you talking about quite complex and dramatic narrative arcs?

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

Lots of good advice which I heavily agree with. So far, in terms of mapping, I have used simple squared paper for the side-view and the individual locales (sub-dungeons), though obviously the scale varies. For those sub-dungeon sections that won't have full maps the scale is variable. but...

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

All the rage not that long ago, I'm working on a mega dungeon to DM later this year. But, even though players seem excited, I have a niggling doubt that modern players (many of my players are not long time players) will quickly get either bored or frustrated with trad mega dungeons? is this...

Anybody know when the Bestiary will be out in hard copy?

It seems such a shame that they weren't, for whatever reason, able to capitalise upon the momentum and good will generated by fantastic early reviews by putting out product more quickly and efficiently. I wonder if 13th Age has lost momentum?

Anybody know when the Bestiary will be out in hard copy?

Mid -June, ok. :) i agree with Evenglare that things have been too slow with too little communication, though.

13th Age: Our first session report

Agree that icon roles, from a planner-DM pov, are best mixed between in session and next session resolvement. Regarding mobs - there's no problem splitting a mob into two areas, it's just that the players will have to get more imaginative when describing multiple deaths (I'd allow a fair...
