Seconded. I rarely roll for those. I typically have a 2-3 that I want the party to do. I treat them much like backgrounds or any other table. I chose what best fits the scenario and what's coolest for the moment.
Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds both get you playing actual D&D with other people.
As to the notion of turn-based video games...that's why I loved the old Pool of Radiance game for 3E. Especially POR: Ruins of Myth Drannor. I like having friendly fire off, as well as turn-based so I can actually...
Agreed 100%. Cutting a swath through hoards of fodder like a hot knife through butter and not even breaking a sweat can be fun. It can also lend to the overall feeling of an encounter. What I mean by that is, if you had the past 5 random encounters be suuuuuuper easy, then suddenly you're in a...
Vulnerable means you take double damage from that type, just as Resistance means you take half damage.

[De-Rail] A WWE wrestler fighter sub-class...now THAT piques my curiosity! I'm envisioning it like Battle Master, where you have a certain amount of dice for moves like an RKO, Brogue Kick, F4, Tombstone, GTS, etc. LOL [/De-Rail]
I'm doing the exact same thing on R20. I'm not wasting time filling in a full character sheet for NPCs. I'm just giving them base stats, HP, and AC and some simple macros to use.
I'm also going to print out some cards with the pertinent data, to paper clip on my side of the DM screen when I...
Damnit, "Synjin" is taken by a user apparently not active in two years. Ah well, hopefully the avatar pic is enough to tie it in until people are used to it.
