This book isn’t going to have player facing content. This is going to be closer to Dragon Delves than anything else. A brief intro, maybe a unique adventure mechanic like the one player mode blessing in Delves, and then the rest will be adventure. Player facing crunch will be left to Arcana...

Psion will 100% be Dark Sun first. Hell, I think the fact that Dark Sun is something they want to do is the only reason Psion is coming as a class at all. I doubt they’d have tried it again if they didn’t feel it was 100% necessary to get in the setting.

But guessing the most extreme is doing the product a disservice. I know you don’t mean to, but someone on here is going to see that post, start building an expectation for this to be nearly 20 subclasses, and then be disappointed when it’s only 8.

I think this is overdoing it by a lot. The Arcane Subclasses will be here, MAYBE the Mystic ones. But we won’t see the Cavalier or the Storm Herald or any of the other martials in this book. The rest of the pages will be taken up by spells, backgrounds, feats, magic items, and lore writeups...

Maybe, though I do think the Mystic Arts Monk was created to replace Tattoo’d Warrior. But we will see.

Sure. But WotC is very aware that the community doesn’t care about gatekeeping setting options. I’d wager most tables out there are running dragon marks and Bladesingers and Hexbloods and Giff all together in their settings, with little care for what is “for” a setting and what isn’t. For most...

This is a misunderstanding of what the Elemental Evil Players Companion was. It started as a full rules supplement to be released in conjunction with Princes of the Apocalypse, the same way these two books are pair together. The difference is WotC didn’t have the staff to do it themselves...

The book will have more than just the Wizard subclasses and old spells from 5e. We’re looking at probably 8 subclasses total, likely getting Arcane Archer and Arcana Cleric at minimum. Probably the Ancestral Sorcerer and the Mystic Arts Monk, maybe getting the Spell Thief Rogue and Spellguard...

Sure, but the Idle Champions team isn’t WotC, and the ideal clicker has not been regularly promoted by or highlights by WotC for years now. This article is the most they have done for it in recent memory. I just don’t think they are that interested in the idle clicker.

There’s just no reason to think December is anything but a player supplement. They aren’t going to do back to back big adventures, and we know Dreadfall is coming out 3 months ahead of the December book. It’s also very clear now that they have been testing all those UA subclasses for the 2026...

Not a chance in hell that WotC is making an Idle Champions joke for the title of their big winter season initiative. IF somehow Dragonlance is the December book (I’m 99% sure it won’t be), then the title and naming convention aligning with Idle champions would be purely a coincidence.

I do not think the placement of the figure has anything to do with where Soth is appearing in the release calendar. It’s more likely it was just placed there because that was the negative space that needed filling.

The PHB also has Orcs. Which don’t exist in Krynn. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. If Orcs in the PHB work for Krynn, so does the Lunar Sorcerer.
