D&D General D&D Beyond: How do you add a ranger's primal companion?

That is not a statblock. It is not the creature. It is just the feature.

No, you cannot. You can pull up the rules, and the statblock template. It is not possible anywhere to actually pull up your primal companion as a complete statblock.

A template thst says "AC: 13 plus your wisdom modifier" is not a statblock of your primal companion, it is a template that shows the rules for a primal companion.

The OP is clearly asking for a way to add it just like you can add a familiar or a 2014 companion in the character sheet and it gives you a complete statblock on your sheet.

That's my problem exactly. I don't see a completed and fully tallied stat block. It drives me nuts.

D&D Beyond is such a helpful tool and I like how you can reference things quickly, like spells.

However, there are things it lacks and it's not always the laid out well. I find that frustrating.

Not missing anything, wotc just refuses to actually make DDB usable.
They have openly said the backend code prevents them from doing a lot of customization, including stat blocks that automatically level up with you the way the Beast Masters do. They have also said they are in the middle of a full backend rebuild specifically to address these issues.

Correct. It's not a stat block.
It merely shows the HP, AC, attack information and anything else you'd need when you click into the feature.
So, the rules, not a statblock. Not what the OP askex about in the furst place. Yes, i know.
Smh...yeah I guess it only gives you all the info you need to run the creature...I stand corrected as far as it technically being a stat block.
The thing asked about is a statblock. The point of ddb is things like this. The rules of 5e are extremely easy, ddb is useful because it puts everything (in theory) right there on the page, already done and ready.
So OP asked if they missed something on this, and they hadn't.

Yep. I totally get it. It is annoying.

And they abandoned dhe former team's solution, putting a properly working service years back. They chose this, and the chose to take years to do anything of value with the service. Ive been using ddb since it was a daring new beta program, and the amiunt of work being done on it has suffered dramatically since wotc bought it.

So yeah, my statement damn well stands.
