    Flanking Rules

I use Flanking but grant only +2 to hit, not advantage, because it gives the "little guys", like Skeletons or Goblins with a low to-hit bonus and no Pack Tactics, a chance to threaten the PCs by swarming them in large numbers. Advantage is too powerful, imo, and will lead to more critical hits...

    D&D 5E Polymorph is a bad de-buff spell

In Curse of Strahd, I had a hag transform a PC into a toad then dump a BOX FULL OF TOADS around where the PC was so the party could not tell which toad was their toad. The character was a known dancer and the clever player started dancing (with a Performance(DEX) check) to help identify herself...

I removed the side effect of instant death and...

Shield spell and dice rolling assumptions

I am considering house-ruling the Shield spell to grant +1d8 AC and not a fixed number.

    D&D 5E Storied Weapons?

I do not have any house rules but here are two potential sources of inspiration for "storied items": * Legendary Items from Earthdawn; see http://apathyblogs.blogspot.com/2013/06/earthdawn-appreciation-day-bringing.html * Artifacts from D&D 4e; see...
