There would be little reason to change things unless they improve the experience for us.

Why Greyhawk? Why any setting? It's a game of imagination. In my experience most players barely know what's on their character sheet let alone the 400 year history of that place/thing over there. The fact that there is no x in y setting is laughable. It's your setting do with it what you will.

I've found that it's all about expectations. Have I ever played a 1-20th level game? That sounds dreadful!! Why would i want to play 1 character for years and years when there are an exponential variation (come on now, one of you knows how many) of PC possibilities? Have i played in games...

When someone says "I don't understand your post." and you then refer them back to the original post....clarifies nothing. I will accept that this high minded debate about things that probably don't concern a lot of people is not for me and bow out. Good luck changing minds or whatever it is you...

Stop reissuing "nostalgia" products. Or at least separate "legacy" material from "new" material. Bring back short form modules. Release the core books in hardcover and high gloss, then maybe go with less expensive supplements. Hire a professional marketing team. Hire a professional PR team...

I'm an old man. Back in my day 7th level was high level and if you saw a +2 anything in a campaign 3 PCs probably gave their lives in getting it. The greatest magic items we saw in 30 years of playing was a ring that could polymorph you into a white mouse at will, and a sword that forced you to...

If there are magic stores strewn about the land why aren't the local lords (bandit or otherwise) capitalizing on this? Why aren't there armies of guys with +3 swords running around? Fantasy game economies have never made sense to me.

I feel it is my duty as the DM to both punish and reward my players. Tyrant? Maybe. Good parenting? Probably not. Fun? They keep coming back and have never threatened to overthrow me. Oh god why won't they overthrow me?!?! 😵‍💫

Can anyone point me to a thread where people discuss minute semantic distinctions? ;)
