I'm most familiar with Roll20 so I'd go that way

Daggerheart Drop In Session Tonight (Aug 8, 9pm EST)

Looking at running a drop in one shot (according to CRB pg 184) tonight. Couple things: 1) Haven't played Daggerheart but am familiar with rules 2) Not a seasoned GM I'm just looking to test it out and have some fun. Have 2 people interested. Looking for 2 or 3 more.

    Daggerheart General Thread [+]

Trying not to derail any current conversations but is there a thread on here to schedule Drop In games? I am super intrigued with how Daggerheart put together their "Running A One Shot" (pg 184) and want to try to run a game. I haven't played ever and haven't GM'ed a lot in any TTRPG but this...

D&D 5E (2024) The return of official D&D to Target is coming

Great news!!! I hope they can get the starter sets in there. Seems like an awesome way to get more people into the hobby. Would love if a few systems could get starter sets in Target

    Maps From Adventures

Thank you all for the tips and tricks! I have the Chessex battlemap and will be using that one moving forward. The one thing I'm bummed about is how pretty some of the maps in the book look and my drawings of outlines are going to be subpar. But as someone said earlier, that is where the words...

    Maps From Adventures

Question for you experienced GM's out there: I just got Dragon Delves and it will be my first RPG sessions that I will run in person from an adventure book. How do YOU go about transferring the maps from the book to the table? Obviously this has been easy on a VTT with maps being provided (for...

    Congrats To 2025's ENnie Nominees!

Just when I thought I had kept up on the TTRPG world for a year I'm realizing I know very very few of these nominees

D&D 5E (2014) One shot for new dm

For things like this, I know they are made for 4 players but is the conversion to 2 players easy enough?

D&D 5E (2014) One shot for new dm

Anyone run "The Waking of Willowby Hall" as a one shot for 2 people? (and if someone has ran it would it be something easy to convert to 5e?)

How and why do you solo play?

Really got into the YouTube channel "Me, Myself and Die" last year and do want to try out solo play. Seems like a fun challenge and outlet for creativity. Like a few people in here have said, I like the idea of being able to throw something together real quick when I have some free time.

For those doing TTRPG online, what are your reasons?

Nothing I would like more than to play in person, but with three little kids my schedule doesn't really open up until 8pm and their aren't many people hosting live games at that hour. BUT I can jump online and get in PST games that start 5 or 6 PST which is great for me on EST.

D&D General The Disappearance of D&D from Mainstream Retailers

I haven't seen any of the new core rulebooks at the mainstream stores. I feel like for a while I saw a lot of DnD books at Target but I was just there today and took a peek and they don't have any TTRPG stuff to be found anymore.

What is your favorite RPG book of all time?

I'm seeing this "Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting" book a LOT in this thread. What exactly is so great about it?? Super intrigued in it.

What is your favorite RPG book of all time?

Star Wars the Roleplaying Game by West End Games. Was the first TTRPG book I ever owned. Got it for Christmas when I was in 7th grade and read it for years and years but never had anyone to play it with. BUT it got my brain interested in TTRPG's and over a decade later the memories of that book...
