While I thought the other part of what you had to say was pretty good, adding a "Move Action" to 5e would complicate things, given that you can move both before and after an Action.

Wouldn't that make each round just 1 second long? Seems like a short amount of time to perform actions and move. The confusion, I think, stems from the fact that the terms "round" and "turn" had different meanings in all previous versions of D&D, which is why I frequently see people get it...

Here's something I see people get wrong sometimes: A turn is not a round and a round is not a turn. There are multiple turns in a round.
