I have a lasher IMC right now and she is a terror in combat. No questions asked, these guys can deal major damage. The whip is also a very versatile tool as well as weapon. Lasher's have a very unorthodox fighting style and have great versatility in the way they can attack. They also are one...
Unarmed attacks are not touch attacks, requiring you to hit the target's unmodified AC. You have to take armor into account. Touch attacks ignore armor. You don't really make an unarmed strike when you make a touch attack, technically. However, I don't really see a problem for allowing you...
When you gain a new level, you get to add two more spells to your spellbook of any level you can cast at no extra cost. He's assuming you are adding spells of the highest level you can cast.
1st - start with 3 + INT modifier 1st level spells + all cantrips
2nd - add 2 1st level spells
3rd -...
I just have to ask...what's the benefit of attacking as a standard action rather than a partial action, besides being able to take a move action (Which, if you are mounted, your mount is moving, not you)?
Murrdox,
A fighter performing the full attack action can use his attacks against different opponents.
From the SRD:
So, yes, if a fighter has 3 attacks per round then he can attack 3 different opponents, using the full attack action.
I thought that as well, and originally ruled that wands could be used even under a silence effect, but then I read that spell trigger items require a command word and reversed my ruling.
They convieniently left out the command word part under the wand description.
That's a good point...something else for me to think about.
And about the scent comment...I was just pointing out that ethereal creatures or those on the ethereal plane do not give off scent on the material plane, that's all.
Let your DM know that the name you gave him and announced to the rest of the players was an alias, and just don't tell anyone, aside from the DM, your real name.
I would let him do it. You can cast spells and use a light weapon while grappled. Also, I wouldn't even require a concentration check, since unlike spells, using a wand does not provoke an AOO.
To piggy pack on the subject, what if the character was pinned? Could he do the same thing?
I'm still undecided about the uncanny dodge thing. Invisiblity is an illusion [glamer] spell whereas Blink and Etherealness are Transmutations. I think it is a valid point that they could confer "different types" of invisibility.
Examples to back this point up:
Blindfight works against...
You are very welcome. BTW, if you were interested in stacking the attributes, you could always create your own unique race and say that a crossbreed of a shield dwarf and a gold dwarf would have the resulting +4 CON, -2 DEX, -2 CHA modifiers. Just an idea.
The Shield Dwarf in the FRCS is exactly like the dwarf in the PHB> +2 CON, -2 CHA. I think you must be talking about the Gold Dwarf, which has +2 CON, -2 DEX, and no, they don't stack. It's a straight +2 CON, -2 DEX.
This is just a tangent regarding setting down scrolls and reading them, but if you read the description of a scroll in the DMG, it states that most scrolls have wood or some other material attached to the top and bottom. So if you really wanted to set one down, I would think that that would be...
