    Protection from Sunder?

Sweet, thanks for the info! A crystal of adamant weaponry will help a lot. For anyone else reading, here's the URL: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ps/20070209a

    Protection from Sunder?

I'm playing a psychic weapon master and wield a bad ass crystal weapon. I'm really worried that it's going to get sundered and I'll have to spend a lot of time and experience "bonding" with a new one. Any suggestions on how I can protect my weapon from being sundered via a feat or other means...

    Suggestions on Good Adventures Modules

I am currently running my PCs through the "Of Sound Mind" adventure module and am looking for something after they finish it. They should be about 3-4 level after they're done. The party is evil to neutral so the generic "save the helpless people from the incoming evil" type of adventure...

    Invisibility and Arrows

I understand the need for abstraction in certain aspects of D&D but I just don't think it's warranted here. Why can't more hps just mean that you are able to take more damage. Why does it have to mean that the damage that you do is somehow not as effective (arrows to actually stick into...

    Invisibility and Arrows

While I understand the point you are trying to make, I don't think that somehow because you have more hp arrows now only graze off you and never stick into you.

    Invisibility and Arrows

Pulling an arrow out as a ME action I'd say that if you have a BAB +1 or better you can pull the arrow out as you're moving, just like you can draw a weapon and move at the same time. Taking damage as a result of pulling arrows out makes sense, however it compounds the critical hit damage if...

    Invisibility and Arrows

I never thought of that. However, I'd think that the chances of an arrow simply grazing a creature, the arrow "falling out on it's own", or the arrow passing completely through a creature are significantly less than the arrow sticking in them and having to be pulled out. For instance I'd say...

    Invisibility and Arrows

I had a situation in a game where an invisible creature was hit with an arrow (actually several arrows). A player argued that the arrow sticking out of the invisible creature would negate (or at least reduce) the 50% miss chance of the invisibility spell. After much discussion I ruled that the...

    PR vs. SR

I was wondering how many of you out there use/don't use the "spells and psionics are different" rule and why or why not. I kind of like the idea of making them different but am unsure what exactly the impact will be on my game. My default campaign setting is Forgotten Realms and a lot of...

    Psionics Power Sheet

Unfortunately Emanuele has decided not to share the source files for the character sheets. This is unfortunate because it seems he doesn't keep his files current. I don't see how he can ask for donations when he hasn't really donated anything worthwhile to the gaming community.

    Psionics Power Sheet

Does anyone know of a good psionics power (spell) sheet? I'd like one that's in a table or spreadsheet format that I can easily add/update information on as new powers become available (from new source books). A good power sheet has columns for Power Name, Power Level, Power Points, Short...

    Reincarnate and ECL

Re: Re: Reincarnate and ECL I don't have the savage species book yet but it sounds like I may need to check it out. Thanks for the info.

    Reincarnate and ECL

Re: Re: Reincarnate and ECL The character was originally a good dwarf and he was killed in the Underdark. It seemed appropriate given the circumstances.

    Reincarnate and ECL

I recently had a player who was reincarnated. Upon casting the spell a 00 was rolled which specifies DM option on what to bring back the character as. I chose to bring back the character as a Deep Gnome (ECL +3). Before death, the character was 10th level (non-ECL). As per the rules on...

    Protection from being stunned?

Anyone know of a spell that protects a creature from being stunned? My DnD group had a discussion where one person thought that freedom from movement protected the target from being stunned because the spell specifically states that it protects from any spell that would prevent the person from...

    Sending to a sleeping person

Can a PC use the sending spell to contact (and receive) a response from a sleeping creature (assuming they are "willing" to respond)? I thought that I read somewhere the a sending to a sleeping person contacts them in a dream-like fashion which wakes them up and are then able to respond. The...

    Dragon fighting techniques

I'm curious as to the different techniques players out there have used to kill dragons. Specifically I'm interested in how a high level cleric or mage/sorcerer might be able to battle an ancient red wyrm. The wyrm's massive SR make most spells harmless and an incredible AC makes it impervious...

Destroying Magical Items with Area Spells

Any rules gurus out there that can give specifics about when/how magical items get destroyed? The rules for attacking a weapon (via sunder) or item seem fairly clear when you're talking about melee combat . But is a characters cloak/dagger/boots/etc all going to fry if they are caught inside...

    Why take a Crossbow?

A better question might be why take a hand crossbow except for character flavor. Shorter range than either any of the other crossbows or regular bows. You have to take a feat to use it (usually) and it does less damage.
