    FLAVOR CLASSES: They're Ba-ack!!!

[Redacted] If I had time to do anything other than read this thread, maybe I'd have more to contribute. But ah. That's the way things go.

    FLAVOR CLASSES: They're Ba-ack!!!

Looking good, guys. Even if you don't use my noble, I'd be nice to get my name in this thing somewhere, at least since I'm the one who originally put the idea out there.

What is a hedge mage, anyway?

Actually, we're going to call it "The Flavorful Splat" :)

My first serious attempt at a map using CC2

I second the suggestion for using the fractalize tool. Also, unless you're going to put a bunch of islands in the sea, you might want to get a little closer to your landmass.

    Single-Level Flavor (heh!) Classes

You're right. This is ridiculous. Let's go back to talking about how to fix the broken ranger, whining about the cost of the 3.5e books, and trying to turn armor class into damage reduction. What were we thinking? That we could add a concept to a game instead of complaining about what we think...

    Single-Level Flavor (heh!) Classes

Okay, my first one. Took me a while, eh? Still needs some polish on it, but that's why I'm posting it to a forum. The entire text of this post is Open Game Content, and hereby incorporates the Open Game License in full, which can be found at http://www.wizards.com/d20/files/OGLv1.0a.rtf with...

Kansas City Game Day - A success! Photos on page 12.

Zombies!! Played it this weekend, not a bad little game. Make sure you go to their website and grab their (revised?) instruction sheet and FAQ -- we played the game so wrongly it was ridiculous :)

I'd be up for organizing it. I tend to be better at organization than creating anyway. :)

I almost forgot about this. Whoo...gotta get the gang together.

    Realm Overseer 3D

This is true. However, the product came with a couple FR Atlas sample maps, and the layout got a little -- goofy -- when rendered in 3D. This is because the Atlas maps weren't built with this program in mind. You get things like objects getting stacked; like a town floating in midair because it...

    Single-Level Flavor (heh!) Classes

I'm of the thought that a flavor class should be just as viable at first level as any other core class; Does any "full" class receive less an +2 on one of their saves? I'm thinking (a) +2 to a single save; (b) +0 or +1 BAB; and (c) a hit die as a die class lower than the most closely associated...

    Single-Level Flavor (heh!) Classes

Cute. The subtlety is in the concept, not in the math.

Re: Um, ouch! Me too. Probably later tonight I'll have some writeups for my campaign-specific flavor classes up to fish for feedback.

An idea regarding Str in attack rolls...

Would you limit the bonus? If I have an attack roll of 16 vs. an AC of 10, should I do 1d8+6 damage? What if I don't have a STR bonus at all? Edit: Nevermind, your critical hit example illustrates this. No cap on the damage bonus, regardless of STR.

    Taking away the shame...of Roleplaying!

No, they'd flock to the camera, salivating at the thought of an unblinking eye listening to them rant about their rawk-arse paladin and his holy sword of idealistic slaying :)

DVD sales figures: WIDE SCREEN vs FULL

They've filed Chapter 11. Yes, they also had their Rio line of MP3 players. The commercial-skipping suit is basically networks saying "watching commercials is how you pay for television, no way are we giving it to you for free" because if time-shifting becomes as popular as, say, the VCR in...
