And this is why I support legalizing castration for criminals.

Sighs. He did it in support of single fathers. One can only pray he's not one.

Hey, he is old school, he went with the old costume!

Just think of it as a plot element in a Superhero game...

Batman: "The Joker is inside, I tell you"
Officer: "Come down off the wall"
Batman: "I am a Superhero, a good guy"
Officer: "Come down off the wall, Humpty"

Which British superhero icons would those be?

For better or worse Spiderman/Batman/Superman are the most recognisable "super heroes" to joe public in the UK, and that is why they are chosen.

It is actually quite clever - they get much better publicity for their cause this way than if they were just an ordinary bloke on a crane.

Naturally we won't want to get into the politics of the situation

I'm curious. Why is it that Brits are using our American superhero icons and not theirs?
Because superheroes are, mainly, an American phenomenon, not a British one. And I guess the guy likes superheroes.

I remember a couple of years ago, in the UK, when a guy going to a costume party dressed as Batman tripped a burglar running out of a convenience store. The burglar was so flabbergasted (heh!) upon seeing The Batman that he nearly fainted.

Unlike the comics version, this Batman stood around waiting for the police and receiving compliments for the arrest.
