100 Problems that aren't solved by violence alone

38. After a magical battle in a city leaves a small but growing planar vortex in a major square, the PCs are enlisted to track down a herd of "plane stitchers" which can close the vortex. At least two dozen such creatures will be required, and they are more commonly known as "Flumphs"

Within a dungeon, the players find - strapped to torture equipment - a Lawful Evil wizard who they have heard about before (i.e. he was expelled from his college for investigating dark arts, but hasn't done anything particularly villainous). He's the defeated enemy of hte dungeon's master, and promises to help the PCs. His spellcasting abilities would be a great help in a difficult fight, and he is true to his word.

My players have discovered there are few problems that aren't solved or improved by the application of fire.

Someone really needs to work on a "It's on fire!" supplement, to better catalog how long things take to burn, smoke inhalation, fire spread, escape rules.

PCs must make their way to the bottom of the Temple of Chaos, but first must find the three componants to the key hidden throughout the temple. Just a basic dungeon puzzle really. The fun part is that every time a PC walks through any door, they have to role on the Insane Jester's List of Chaotic Effects.

The last time I ran this setting, the Archer turned into a purple-slug-bodied hydrophobe, the rogue turned into a solid gold automoton, the male fighter became a female elf named "Dingus," and the wizard spilt into his good and evil halves (only one was weightless and had to be carried on a string).

We've never laughed so hard in a session.
