169. Dude, where is my car?
(Think about it. You wake up and several thieves’ guilds, wizards, and outsider type's are all trying to track you down to find an artifact you were (and supposedly still are) in possession of, yet you do not remember anything. You could have a good time with npc's that "KNOW" your pcs, and cause several dangerous/comic scenarios about what they had done/said... I plan on making several embarrasing situations come of this...

Some rather oddball ones...
170. Mystery Science Theater 3000- The Movie. The players are trapped by a mad mage who forces them to watch bad bards performing in order to drive them mad.
171. Scooby Doo on Zombie Island. Don't laugh. The party is lured onto an island to investigate "evil zombies", but the zombies are trying to dissuade the party from the islander's evil cult.
172. Citizen Kane. Good political manipulation campaign.
173. MANOS: The Hands of Fate. :D
174. Titan A.E.
175. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
176. Armageddon (Epic campaign, maybe?)
177. Mothra
178. Contact

Demiurge

Pretty much any movie can be ported to D&D. Even romance or comedies. Western movies work especially well.

When you're trying to work a movie to a D&D plot, look at the things the writer uses and think about them in the most simplest terms. A car is just a mode of transportation. Just like a plane. There is no reason you can't change them to horses or summoned griffons. Rich businessmen? Just powerful nobles or kings. (Watch Hamlet with Ethan Hawke for that, it's a great flick.)

There really isn't anything new under the sun, nor has there been for at least six thousand years.

Okay... I've said it before and I say it again... THE place to go to get nifty keen plot ideas based on movies is www.badmovies.org .

No, I'm not getting paid for this. Yes, it is funny. Check out "For Your Heighth Only" for a halfling spy adventure.
