101 uses for a 1st level spell

So what are some interesting, useful, and clever applications of 1st level D&D spells? Edition neutral -- pick your favorite spells!

I'll start:

1. Mount tower shields on your Tenser's Floating Disc = mobile firing platform for the party archer.

2. Grease + sloping hallway = expeditious retreat.

Some 1e examples:

Spook + nearby cliff = fun

Magic Missile fired straight up = flare gun (we long ago ruled the missiles were visible due to a piece of 1e artwork)

Messenger on bird = self-delivered food source for trapped target

Ventriloquism on self-important noble = wonderful chaos!

Phantasmal Force to slowly "move" a wall outward such that people can sneak past between the illusionary wall and the real one, then slowly "put the wall back".
