12" Powerbook or 15" Powerbook

Nice! I'm probably gonna order mine around the 29th, to take advantage of Tiger coming out.

Let us know how your PB works out for you!
I wouldn't bother waiting. Traditionally, Apple takes a coule months before they start shipping their computers with a new OS, so if you order the 29th, you'll still probably get Panther. You may qualify for a cheaper upgrade to Tiger, though, so check into that.

Yup, if you purchase a new computer after April 12, you can quailfy for the Tiger upgrade, all though there is $10 fee.

I don't get paid till the week before the 29th, so I figure I'll wait a week before I order a new PB on the chance I can get Tiger installed.

So far so good! had it for a few days now. Glad I went with the 15" screen. the 12" would have drove me nuts. Looks Like I can do everything I need in native... except etools. So I have VPC for that. otherwise I am fully off Microsoft.

Cool! Glad to hear it. One thing I have found is that you never regret having a bigger screen.

What about portability?

How would you rate it?

Urk. I have the 17" and I regret it. It's too big to take anywhere. Wish I'd gotten the 12" now. :/

Portability is great. The way the screen-hinge works on the powerbook means it can actually fit in an airplane seat that my old 15" never could.

Have taken it on 3 trips so far and am very happy. Battery performance is stellar. still too bad about etools, but VPC seems to be happy enough with it to work...

Entourage is a little wonkey and doesn't syncronise in any definable way. It seems to just grab what ever folders it wants...

Also looking for a OneNote replacement - THoughts?
