The exact value of Extend depends upon the cleric's spell selection and the nature of the campaign. Doubling the length of time certain buff/transmutation/abjuration spells can be quite useful, especially since you're not burning a feat and a level adjustment to do so.

A metamagic Empower rod could be better, but its 3x the cost- somewhat prohibitive at this point, though it really only gets better as the PC advances in level. Also, many of the Cleric's spells no longer have variable components.

What is the periapt really gonna do for me that justifies the 4k?

Well, a +2 Wis for a cleric isn't anything to sneeze at, and its priced the same as Gauntlets of Ogre Power.

That Wis boost improves your Will Saves, spell DCs, certain variables, and even gets you a bonus spell. Depending upon your PC's exact build, other benefits may accrue. For example, a single level in the Shiba Protector PrCl (Oriental Adventures) would let you add your Wis bonus to Att & Dam rolls- a Cleric multiclassing into that PrCl with a Periapt of Wisdom would thus gain the functional equivalent of having Gauntlets of Ogre Power as well as the spellcasting boost.*

* Actually moreso, since you add your total Wis bonus to your Att & Dam rolls in addition to your Str or Dex combat mods.

Woah, there laddy!

Burning 9,000 gp out of 14,500 at this level on a single weapon is seriously not a good idea. Not even on any one item, should you be investing so much of your character's wealth.

Not only can the weapon be rusted, stolen, lost, dispelled, sundered, disintegrated, you should also consider that they can also be made almost useless, by various DR tricks, spells, excetera.

The Idea is to have a multitude of effects at your disposal, and by sinking almost 2/3rds of your wealth into a single item, you are really asking for trouble.

Now my spear does 1d8+1 +1 (acid) +6 (str or with Bull Str +9) + 1d6

The bonuses for gauntlets of ogre strength and bull's strength do not stack - they are both enhancement bonuses, so you only get the greater benefit.

+1 breastplate (1350???? am I missing the 300 in that cost for Mwk?)

Masterwork armors and shield add +150 (not +300 that is added to weapons).

The 350 is the cost of the breastplate (200 gp) + the masterwork quality (+150 gp)

composite bow +4 (900)(only a +6 bonus on attack roll and probably not hitting anything much)

Is your PC proficient with bows? Otherwise you have the non-proficiency penalty (-4) on attacks. Standard cleric is not proficient with bows.

Elves get bow proficiency as a racial bonus.

Oh Shiz! I totally forgot that a cleric cant use bows unless they take a feat. Ok so than how about I sub out with Gauntlets of the starry sky?
I get to cast magic missile 3/day and even get a nice light effect once and again.

I would like to know more about this class but i cant find anything online.

Don't get a variable rate mortgage ; )

Weird you should say that because even before i got the capital This NPC salesman was trying to explain to me that I get a racial bonus on sub-prime loans because of legislation passed to help minority races get into keeps.

I said... I dont know 150,000 gp seems like a lot, but he said i with the housing market being as it is I will double up on my investment in 2 years.

Well that was two years ago and I cant even afford to feed the mote monster now.

The Shiba Protector is a PrCl from OA p223, directed at classes like Monks and Sohei. I haven't looked at it in a while, but I remember it being a classic "dip" PrCl because that Wis bonus is granted at 1st level.
