I didn't think they would announce it now, I thought D&D Experience next year would be the venue, for release 2008.

And now I have the warm glow of knowing I was right, all mixed up with the fact that they are releasing the PHB in MAY AND NOT AUGUST (!!!!!?????). ok, ok, its a small thing. Calming down.

I didn't think they would announce it now, I thought D&D Experience next year would be the venue, for release 2008.

Ditto (well, I thought maybe it'd be for release in 2009). I'd bet at very large percentage of those who didn't expect 4e announced at GenCon 2007 certainly expected it at D&D Expereince 2008 or no later than GenCon 2008, anyway.
