1E Legends & Lore: I have it and I'm very happy!

Okay, so I was browsing through a used book store called Wee Book Inn and decided to check out the very back section of the store.

What did I find? Well, the thread title gave it away -- a copy of 1st Edition Legends & Lore.

Here's the kicker though, it was only a buck! Yes, you read that right, one whole dollar (plus tax).

$1!!!

The book was reduced in price because one corner of it was nearly torn off. But that was the only damage. The other corners are good and the covers have barely any wear. The pages are all there and I couldn't find any internal blemishes.

I'm so happy!

Yes.

No. That's the Deities & Demigods book, of which the first three editions had the Cthulhu and Melibone deities in it.

The next couple of editions removed those pantheons, and then it was retitled "Legends and Lore".

Nope ... 1e Legends & Lore is the 3rd printing or so of Dieties & Demigods. 1st printing had Cthulhu & Melboine in it, 2nd printing had the crux of the text removed, but still had mention of Cthulhu and Melbine one one of the front credit pages, while 3rd printing got a new cover, new title and completely ommited all references.

Still have all three versions in my collection ... with the 1st printing being acquired 2nd hand for something like $10 back in the day.

Loved that book. L&L is one of the first dnd books i bought. I actually had it before the phb.
