I have the 1e DDG hidden away in my basement. Sadly, it's the printing without the Moorcock and Cthulhu mythoi.

I got mine on eBay not to long ago for about $11.00 with shipping. Not a "Collector Copy", but certainly in good usable shape.

I believe I saw one or two listed earlier today while I was looking for a copy of the Rules Encyclopedia (OD&D). Which I have yet to find at a price I am willing to pay. None were listed today anyways. At least not with the searches I did.

That's the one I have as well! Awesome!
Yeah, it's great.

I should also point out that one of LGS's in Edmonton has TONS of old OD&D, 1E, and 2E, products available. The store buys and sells used gaming stuff. (So, if you're going to be in Edmonton, make sure you look up Whyte Knight in the phone book.)

They recently got in a copy of an old adventure called Egg of the Phoenix. They're asking CAN $40 for it, which is too rich for my blood.

It's scary what they have.

I've been putting off buying the copy of "Fires of Dis" they have.

Okay, so I was browsing through a used book store called Wee Book Inn and decided to check out the very back section of the store.

What did I find? Well, the thread title gave it away -- a copy of 1st Edition Legends & Lore.
The Wee Book Inn? Wow that brings me back. That's where I found my copy of the original Deities & Demigods book... about 20 years ago.

Nah, too sketchy for my tastes.
Yeah, the style and poses for the greek pantheon were interesting but definitely too sketchy.
I also remember Apollo being described as incredibly handsome or something but the picture of him clearly wasn't.

I have to honestly say, Jeff Dee's work on Legends & Lore was big influence on my drawing style.
I liked his art a lot, back then. But when i look at it now, I think the proportions are off, his characters are too androgynous and those mullets don't look so good.
