I basically sunk all my money into the full plate, I dont plan on casting any paladin spells which is why my str is high and my int and wis are low. I plan on using the non mounted variant of the paladin, possibly the charging smite variant.

Yeah, that is one of the downsides of playing a large character early on - having to pay through the nose for your armour and weapons.

Steadfast determination would negate the drawback of having a low wis for will saves, but that costs another 2 feats.

Maybe start working either towards the shock trooper (complete warrior) or awesome smite (complete champion) tactical feat. The latter maybe more desirable in that it requires fewer feats, leaving a free feat slot to perhaps take extra smiting. 1 smite attempt a day just doesn't cut it.

So yeah, this would pretty much mean power attack at 1st lv.

I would highly recommend Charging Smite - triple your smite damage, which will really be nice as you go up in level.
