i found this particularly funny.

that being said all the imput has been great info. i feel one of my friends will pick a class he likes and the other will ask for something to assist him so a wide base of sugestions is helpful.

I'm sensing a pattern. I have also DMed for 2 guys. One played an Elf Dark Pact Warlock with a lot of Infernal stuff (he was infernal before the FRPG came out). He also had a Spellscar. The other guy was a Dragonborn Avenging Paladin of Bahamut. I gave him a bit of Barbarian.
Survival was never a question. They laid waste to everything. At level 3 or so, I put them up against a small room of about 4 or 5 Warforged from the Monster Manual. They were level 3 or 4 Soldiers. The 2 guys won. It was impressive.
