Hey, I'm new to the site, and have recently taken up d&d AGAIN to play once more. I know rather little of the D&D community life, so can you tell me what EXACTLY the GenCon is?

Gen Con is a gaming convention held in Indiana in late August

OK, so what does it cost? Is it all d&d? And What all can you find there? Oh, and Who are all the people that you are voting for?(I don't mean to be rude, but I am new to the community, and I didn't even know aboute stuff like GenCon, or dragon mag, and stuff until just recantly.

The judges judge d20 and non-d20 (a bit of controversy on that one) that have come out in the past year. This is usually in the form of gaming products that the various d20 publishers have released over the past year. It's a yearly award, so the awards cover products released from (I think) June/July of one year to the next.
