Dragonomicon 1 by Ari Marmell. Who's he? And by Bruce Cordell. I expect some of these dragons will have tentacles.

I particularly like covers of the Tome of Treasures and the Manual of the Planes. Meet Mr Smiley.

Finding out Ari is involved with the Draconomicon made my day. :)
That's one sweet gig there, Mouseferatu.

The miniatures game starter seems to have received new package art too, strangely enough.

EDIT: Perhaps this is just the back panel of the clear plastic box, with the green dragon & minis to take the foreground.

It really, really was. I about flipped when Chris Perkins offered it to me. :D

Short of being on the core books themselves (which obviously, not being an actual WotC staffer, wasn't an option), I don't think I could've asked for a better "opening curtain" on 4E.

I pretty impressed with the lineup. It's nice to see some GM oriented material coming up so early, and I'm pretty happy with the pace of rules expansion material. If they keep supplemental material releases at a similar pace throughout the life of the edition it should be fairly easy to keep up with.

*Sees Robert J. Schwalb's name on the Manual of the Planes and Ari's on the Draconomicon*

Really impressed with this lineup.

I notice that the Forgotten Realms appears to no longer have its own logo or "look". I wonder if the Eberron books will be the same. I know it's a picky little thing, but I kind of like having each "set" look distinct. Having absolutely every book cover look the same will be a little disappointing (and potentially confusing in the store when you're trying to find the setting books ...). Oh well.

As the DM in my group, I'm planning on getting practically everything they're going to be putting out. Yes, I'll be spending lots of money but at least it won't be all at once (I came into 3e late and I don't think I ever bought just one book at a time ...).
