Seriously, I'm quite enjoying this season.

My roommate was quite angry at this episode. He was like NO WAY would their incursion into the White House be so easy. I am also somewhat dubious about this.

- Would it be so bad for the VP to be a calm, cool, and competent person? Just once?

I'm sure they have secret service guys on every inch, not just two walking around, as well as cameras everywhere.

But this is 24, which frankly is kinda like set in a fantasy land. I mean,

My wife and I laughed and laughed and laughed at this. Sometimes, 24 does stuff that obviously designed to tell complete morons what's going on, and this is a good example.

This season's ideology and metaphors are rather worrying.

First, come on. "You're planning to torture, Jack? But . . . but that's wrong!" I mean, it's sad how blatantly unconvincing they are in writing and delivering these lines.

Second, I dunno, the terrorist threat is a bunch of black people in the White House? Hm. What network is this on?

This is 24. The Real Villians are a bunch of shady western white guys. The third-world terrorists are stooges. That's the way the show works.

bad guys in 24 have come from Eastern Europe, China, the Middle East, and America itself; why should Africa be excluded from the coveted '24 Bad Guy' list? Next season, they'll probably be from Latin America...
